Western Swing RULES #31 brings together, for the first time, the entire Hot Club of Cowtown group to demonstrate "How to Play Tastefully Together." Does it seem everyone in your band is trying to "out volume" the other? The result can sound like a train wreck. We hope WSR 31 sheds a little light on this way overlooked issue. What a great Christmastime surprise! It's wonderful to hear this nuanced discussion of how this fantastic band works together. I saw them a couple of years ago -- one of the best concerts I've attended; each member's attentiveness to what the others are doing is keenly apparent ... and yet it's all so spontaneous and fun. TexExpatriate1 Our segment was filmed several years ago. Eva passed away about a year and a half ago. See was Elana’s pride and joy and she showed it by including her in 90% of their tours at home and abroad. Eva was an extension of the bands extreme talent and personality. There was a tremendous sense of loss to all of HCOC’s fan base but especially to Elana. She was a special little girl.- RH.
