I am SFC fan and don't like the wanderers, but what happened was beyond disgraceful. I saw the cops during sfc march and were highly aggressive. Having 100+ riot police at a game with children and families is inappropriate

Next minute cop is shouting at us "GET OFF THE ROAD", like fuck, sorry Bruh I didn't realize the road wasn't closed. Thing that really bugged me, was just the aggression out of no where. He could have just asked nicely, "Please get off the road guys" but NO... Of course he had to act like a Chad about it!!! Fuckwit cops are the worse. In hind sight, it goes to show that they really do have an attitude problem towards all football fans., but Football in Australia just wouldn't be the same without the "Soccer violence hysteria".

I’m a passionate RBB supporter and I will always stay to watch the team. I respect the rest of the RBB’s decision to leave based on the events that took place. I also applaud Malta for speaking to us as you left to tell us what was going on. I got heated beforehand with another fan who was yelling at us to leave and I’m sorry to that person. As for Rudan, compare us with other clubs. Macarthur and Victory - Finished in the bottom two last season. 6 months later they're in the top 4. Wellington - Finished 6th, out in first round of finals. 6 months later they're top of the table. SFC - Sacked Corica after losing the first three games of the season even after he won the FFA Cup. Talay comes in, sorted them out in ONE MONTH and now they've lost 1 game in their last 11 & on a 7 game unbeaten run. CCM - The average age of their outfield squads is 23 the only old foreign they have is Kaltak from Vanuatu , ours is close to 30 and we've filled the squad with high end European league players, and they're a chance of winning the league. WSW - We finished 4th, out in the first round of finals. 6 months later we're two spots lower and the most likely to drop out of the finals. Poor recruitment, poor tactics, it's on Rudan.
To all of you guys, in particular Bos, I understand that your jobs and families are more important than being involved in the RBB. But please don't let this incident discourage you guys and the younger ones from attending games or derbies anymore, because if you take this option, the RBB gets smaller and smaller and then you let the police win. Thats exactly what they want from these incidents. The only way to beat them is to keep on showing up in numbers. Don't give in.
😔Thank you for shedding light on the issue of heavy handed conduct at A-League games. Towards the 20 minute mark I could see the RBB leaving and initially I didn’t know why, but now I know. 😡 I feel disgusted by the overly heavy handed conduct by the police at the game on teenagers, some as young as 15! I wonder if the police wear body cam cameras because if a serious incident were to occur at a match they should review the footage so that there is accountability!
The two under 18 year olds not being allowed adult supervision in police custody and then Bos getting shoved in the face depsite not being abusive or physical. Disgraceful.
the bloke was panicking specially with the scene at the gates, sucks to see a parent in distress reaching out to a law enforcement officer, who is meant to help, looking at him with the yeah alright look like honestly wtf !
There were at least 12 police on the train platform at Parra when we arrived at 3:30 in the afternoon. Hours before the game. They were EVERYWHERE! I’ve been to more Parra & Wanderers games than I can count (home and away) and have never ever seen a police presence like on Saturday night. My husband happened to be at the toilets when it all broke out and I still have no idea how he made it back to our seat in the stand above unscathed.
From a sfc supporter, whole heartedly agree that the riot police presence was fully unnecessary and should be on standby incase of a mass confrontation between supporters which is extremely unlikely and would mean the police have failed to do their job of separating the two sets of supporters. While at the away end of the ground the actions of riot police and security were no where near as forceful as what has been described in the rbb, I definitely was intimidated by their presence which was completely unnecessary. It’s a shame overall that this situation that unfortunately the police most likely won’t be held accountable for have stolen headlines when the main story should have been surrounding a great sfc performance and an embarrassing one from wanderers.
I know what happened to us in Brisbane absolutely doesn’t compare to what happened to you guys. But it definitely feels like the police were acting towards us in the march with wayyyyy more hostility than I’ve ever seen before against young kids too. 13 14 15 16 years old youth. There is no way the police in both states did not receive some sort of message for this weekend to fuck us over. What happened to you guys, you can’t make that shit up, it’s fucking ridiculous.
I walked into Gate C about 5min into the match and all I saw were 4-5 cops being mega aggressive to a few adults and a couple of teenagers as they dragged them out. As an RBB member 'since day one', I'm not surprised cops were pricks.
its time to just accept that Rudan lacks the tactical nouse to get us some silverware. last years squad was one of the best squads in our clubs history and we lost in the finals series to a bang average Syd fc squad. For me, the alarm bells were ringing since then.
Well said. It's like these riot police are sent to the games for training. I remember on a number of occasions they would come into the cove and just start hassling people for cursing or standing in the carpet area (which was never an issue with stadium security). Then kicking fans out in a headlock. Arseholes.
Great podcast boys thanks for telling it how it is….sadly after the last derby at Alliance last year where these same police hassled the crap outta us I walked away from the game. I don’t need that kinda crap when all I want to do is watch my favourite club play. One thing that occurs to me is the level of policing we used to get at the old Stadium when we where successful under Poppa. Back then the crowds where significantly bigger week to week and we didn’t see this level of police…..I wonder what’s changed. Keep fighting the good fight…always for the West
Some of the performances were abysmal. I’ve said it for months now, badolato does not deserve to start, he’s weak, can’t shoot and does nothing to impact the game and he completely cost us for those 2 goals. He needs to be in the npl for acouple more years before we give him regular a leage time. Younis is a 10x better player
like the boys I agree in the 12 yrs the club has been playing and have attended 90% of the Darby's I have never see the police be so heavy handed like i did on Saturday disgusting for sure !!
I've commented this before guys but these entities operate on a Pay for Play system. You think it's a coincidence that they behaved the most violently you've ever seen the same week the two other codes are starting their seasons after a sold out Derby? "Donations" are made to the police unions as a fee and in return they were instructed to cause as much mayhem and terror as possible, which is exactly what they did. The goal is to demoralise the existing fan base and discourage new/potential fans from ever attending, which is exactly what was achieved. Unfortunately, the only way this improves is to buy into this system ourselves. APL needs to start paying the extortion fees otherwise nothing will change. Making complaints about the police, to the police won't achieve anything.
We were shameful on Saturday. Rudan needs to go! He keeps playing the race and victim card - to distract from his poor coaching! Rudan was completely out coached at the weekend - get rid now! A good coach is essential!
⚽️As for the game it’s self, it was a pathetic display. Sydney FC were all over Wanderers with a high press and Western Sydney couldn’t even get out of their own half at times! 😡I’m sick of this backward passing which invites pressure from the opposition because Wanderers can’t seem to out pace and connect passes on attack. They should have booted the ball up the field more instead of playing from the back against a high press
The 11 players that were out there need to take responsibility for the first two goals. The goals were absolutely pathetic , that sits fairly and squally on the shoulders of the players.. After , considering two lousy and cheap goals, there was no coming back from that.. That’s why they’re called coach killers…
What position were we saying we'd be happy to end in at the beginning of the season? Aren't we still able to reach that? We have to allow being better than a top six team, we can still end a top 2/3 team lads heads up we can do this!
The effort from our players was unacceptable. Second to the ball, gave Smurfs way too much time and space absolutely pathetic back to the dark days when we didn't have a home. Rudan needs to give himself an uppercut as do the players. Wonder if the Smurfs supporters got banned for letting off flares probably no cops in sight down that end.
While I do agree the police were no where near as heavy handed as what has been described for in the rbb, there was definitely heavy riot police presence which I could definitely describe as intimidating. One of the guys in the cove had about 6 security guards and a supporter marshall dragging them out who knows why. Definitely think the simple presence of riot police at games creates tension that wouldn’t otherwise be there.
A story just came out that he's being targeted by the new Canberra team or going back to City. I can't see Lederer sacking Rudan and paying him out for 3 seasons. Should never have signed him for that long after achieving nothing but a week 1 finals appearance. We'll probably keep him until at least mid next season.
