Ui Mama is a big name illustrator and very will connected in the industry so she knows how to target certain demographic. Knowing the difference between Western taste and Nihon taste would be basic information for her.

Well, to say it this way: Most ARTISTS in the west understand the culture behind lolicon etc. The problem is, that the number of "fans" have grown in the last year, mostly thanks to tourists who became only anime fans because a. the western media is only producing shit and b. their bubble likes it. The problem with Lolicons is that they are ATTRACTED physically to these characters in most cases and they defend themselves by stating that the age of these characters is far older and thus it's not a child - even if they look like a toddler

She both has young looking face and a smaller frame, closer to a child than an adult, and lolies are child looking characters that may not be sexualised by the source, but might be sexualised by lolicons. If you can see a clear difference between that character from Dragon Maid and a real Japanese woman then I do not know if we should keep this conversation

All arguments that support lolicon being illegal also apply perfectly to any other wrongdoing in fiction, despite a lot of hypocritical denying out there. That shows how feeble they all are and how people let emotions cloud their judgement. Furthermore, in case you wonder "what's the difference between a loli child and a real child"? Well, for starters, existence. If reality itself doesn't matter, what does? There is a huge difference between enjoying something you know is harmless and enjoying something severely harmful. Such is the very difference and it's night and day. Don't you think it is weird to not care about whether or not you are hurting someone, even for sexual purposes? You should, at least. Until proven individually false, lolicons do care. It is exaclty the same reason why you shoot civilians in GTA for fun and it doesn't mean you're evil - you would be evil if you thought those are people, you just know they aren't, same thing happens here, the same way. A person can enjoy a loli any way he or she wants because they know that is not a person and, if it was, everything would change, what was harmless before would become disturbing and activate the part of the brain that rejects unacceptable behavior. Fictional characters don't have a real age, so even labeling them as "children"is legally complicated. Ages given by the author are just arbitrary meaningless fiction and how would you prove the fan artist didn't change the age? Age can change freely in fiction, as time passes freely in the imaginary world. There is no objective way to tell and even adults can be drawn chibi style. And if the character has reach puberty, you fall in a huge grey area. At the end of the day, it is pointless and arbitrary persecution. Proportions and sizes vary a lot from person to person. Only reason it's simple in real life is the existence of a real age that can be checked, so how the underage one looks becomes pretty much irrelevant (it doesn't matter if a 15 yo look adult, for example, just take a look at their ID). "But why?", you must be wondering. "Why enjoying lolis, why not adult-looking character?". "It makes no sense to me!". Are you under the impression that people can chose what they consider attractive and enjoyable? Alas, it doesn't really work this way. The world is a weird place, just like lolicons. (to be fair, I think most loli fans also enjoys milfs and other kinds of anime girls, they just don't want someone telling them what drawing is goind too far). Where you draw the line? Fiction = harmless / Reality = be mindful of people's rights, that's all.

​@@teongreen5254 I agree. No real little girl comes close to the cuteness and beauty of an anime girl. Girls above age are different, cause, unlike kids, GIRLS ABOVE AGE are hot. Little girls aren't. Even if anime and reality could match, it wouldn't really be the same, because lolis have the quality of being impossible to abuse, but any decent person will quickly shut down degenerate thoughts about a real kid. Lolicon is not about liking real kids, it's about liking fictional characters, and fictional characters only for that matter.
