Also Looks like the rubber motor mounts have moved off center by a good 3/16 closer to the motor top bc of the continuous tension of belt. It'd only affect the belt life time, slippage etc. Doesn't look like there's a replacement for motor mounts.
In the very beginning of the video the motor was switched on a few times but not rotating - what caused that? I think the same thing is happening with my dryer - replaced the rear bearing, top front felt w/ plastic guides, so the drum rotates easily……but I still get that humming noise and no start-up sometimes, and when it does run I have excess vibration still.
How long did the hack last? We have a 20+ year old Maytag dryer that started doing this. We got it for $100 some years ago and spending $400 for a new motor is out of the question.
Nice but repeats the same things about 10 times... and keeps shaking the shaft again and again and again... but it's a good video... like it's good because it's good video. Some videos are good and this video is good because he shakes the shaft so it's a good video!
