I did the same thing on the last truck i had ..everyone looking for mounting brackets.. find you a local welder to weld up some L brackets out of some thicker steel and they'll be made up fit want cost much, then get a box to put your generator in you'll need to vent it, drill holes in it, go to trailer shop or truck pro get some trailer lovered vents to put over holes drill a hole out of box for power wire to your sleepeer drill in bottom of sleeper to run wire thru and put a junction box on it with a plug in. And then get you a QUIET RUNNING generator to use with remote control start. I know champion makes one. Or at least key or push button start..
I'm working on a setup myself. It's not even my truck, but it just makes sense. Idling is terrible for the truck engine, plus I can work out the bugs for if I ever buy my own. But, I'm curious why you're wearing a plate carrier. Just for fun or is there a need where you are parked?
I'm working on developing a character. CpTDisgruntled. It's something that might be part of an outfit I wear in most videos or be known for wearing it type of thing. Kinda of a funny, is he serious or joking thing. Same with sunglasses and ear piece.
Are you wearing a chestplate lol 😂 what are you in the Chicagoland area........ The biggest problem is you can't find any smaller diesel generators your best bet is to go to a government auction and get a small military diesel generator they also are usually more enclosed...... The other idea I was thinking about was a small Chinese diesel engine in a toolbox hooked up to a 200-amp alternator charging your batteries why you slept ...
@@DrivetoProvide thanks buddy that’s good to know because my main problem is when I do decide to get a older truck I want to know and have options And I really don’t know any companies that take older trucks anymore they’re all into the newer trucks
Spot on brother! Saves money, efficient, utilitarian. I would however recommend putting diamond plate or something on the side towards the front of the truck and underneath it to protect it because my Harbor Freight setup just like yours got DESTROYED last winter and mine is even up on top of the frame. Amish made me a custom yellow tarp cover for the new one and diamond plate underneath so hopefully this one lasts longer. If you turn it around how would you access the plugs and switches?
