How on earth did I miss this band for the 14 years they were touring? My head was definitely in the sand. I am finding them after the fact, but I am finding them and I LOVE the music. I miss them before I even got to really know them and their music!
Man that trumpet reprise of "What Makes A Man" at the end really tugged on the heartstrings for me. Westlife fan ever since middle school in 2002. The sound of it still creeps up on me from time to time. I'll always be a huge Westlife fan.

Sitting here sobbing, my heart breaking that it's their last show; almost forgetting that (YES!!!!) they are back together. Some times it's hard to believe they're back but so beyond thrilled they are. Now, to get them to play in America....

I think I was 13 in high school when I first heard westlife. If I let you go. I still listen to some of their songs especially flying without wings which is my absolute favourite. I’m 35 now and will always be a westlife girl through and through. ♥️
My favorite is Evergreen😍 i was in highschool in the Philippines when i became crazy for this band😎. Now im in the usa @ 32yo only to find out what is Evergreen 🌲😂

I remember the day Westlife was first announced and presented to the media. I thought "Yet another boyband? Why?" And then I heard "Flying Without Wings" and I was hooked. Never looked back. I'm glad they decided to keep going! Felt weird without them.

It's funny because I missed Westlife the first time round & caught a performance of Flying without Wings & admired the quality of their singing. So, I've been watching them more & more & have bought a CD now. I do admire them & love their songs. It's a shame the boys lost their fathers & now Shane, his mother but she would have loved this. Duh!!! I missed Westlife in their beginning, nd in their prime and am only discovering them now in June 2024!!! When they were just getting started I was trying to survive living in Domestic Violence, then I ran and spent decades trying to rebuild my life. . .but I can see why Westlife became a "lifeline" for Ireland and beautiful for anyone around the world who hears their music. I would say, Westlife is very profound and evokes such deep feelings because they are so resectful and loving in their relationships with each other and with their audience. They respect the heart with their music. It isn't about the first (and soon to fade) flush of a crush. It's about loving forever. This last concert it is so obvious they honor those who gave life to them and they treasure those they are gifted to partner with and raise up their own bright, shining stars. Well, done, boys. Well done. . .from your Yankee cousin across the pond.
