Thank you for sharing Your trip to sand Bay. we used to go to Weston twice a year to see our Auntie, This was back in the 1970's we came down on the train from Essex, and we did the same trip on the Bristol cream open top buses ( Happy days) Many thanks again.
You covered that trip extremely well. Top deck of a bus is no doubt the best way to appreciate the coast line. The dunes at Sandbay were made up some years ago by dredged sand from the channel. I am amazed how the vegetation has taken hold. That was the plan to stabilize for flood control.
Sand bay really is a nice relatively unknown little haven away from the crowds. Also, as a brummie that opening ceremony really made me proud again as I’ve fallen out of love with the city over the years.
Filming from a bus can be difficult as its movements tend to be less predictable than a tram or train. But the Admiral excelled. Amazing how the bus didn't collide with another vehicle on that narrow lane. Excellent video showcasing a 'new' (for me) part of England.
The bus is a great facility. Something similar has run there for years but this this the first time we have ridden on it. When you are young and fit you never fully appreciate being able to walk and explore wherever you like. We both miss being able to do that now!
