Dolores completly manipulated the situation knowing the exact outcome of her actions, therefore the simulation missleading Jerry to fall in the pool. His dead its on her 100%

He acted like a total piece of shit, and she was prepared for it. That doesn't make her responsible.

Yeah it feels off for a few reasons. 1, this is the second time a version of Delores tells William "welcome to the end of the game", which feels a little redundant. 2, William with his unstable mental status was shaping up to be a wild card for the next season, yet he's killed in such a unceremonious way in a post-credit scene. 3, this death retrospectively trivialized William's arc (given how much time we spent watching his therapy sessions and all).

I dont think he is dead.Thay never showed his dead body and as u said it doesnt make much sense to end his arc like that

I'm sure she'll be back. She's still got a role to play. My theory is Dolores has a backup plan in Bernard to resurrect her (and anyone else from the Sublime) and that season 4 will contain a lot of Hale, Host William, and her new army of hosts versus Bernard, Stubbs, Caleb, Maive, and Dolores. Should be fun, a battle to save or destroy mankind.

That motel room in the end is just a replica and maybe the end has yet to come. Maybe part of some experiment by Delos or some other group. I also wouldn't be surprised if William either: a. died a long time ago and we only saw two host Williams fighting b. still out there (and we still saw two hosts fighting) There's no way they'd kill an important char like that in a post-credit scene. Almost half the stuff we see is misleading. Damn, I hope corona doesn't get the show cancelled but it will be very difficult to get new seasons of any TV going if people are too scared to meet up and film.

Well, there are many details like this that don't make sense in this show. Like guards dumping entire P90 mags into Dolores who's walking and keep missing every bullets. The fact that the yakuza guy also didn't hit anyone with his FMG-9, the hosts have supernatural abilities but Dolores loses a fight against Maeve, firearm vs sword, and fails to dump an entire mag in her belly. Same for the last episode, the armed goons just can't shoot Dolores for shit by outnumbering her from every angles. Guns making weird electric noises when it's just regular AR-15. 40mm grenade launchers shooting heat seeking missiles with tons of fuel left in such a tiny thing. Apparently, regular electric vehicles are quite bulletproof, but armored police vans have non-armored glass. The army sucks so bad that a simple EMP in the last episode makes everything explode and no one is prepared for this, while we already know this issue since at least the beginning of the 2000s. But that's just for the fights.

Same here, after S2 I had no motivation to watch S3, I'm here out of curiosity of how the series developed and to be honest seem like I didn't missed much

I think it's posible, but it wouldn't make sense for that facility to be in ruins then.

@@gorux yeah you're right about that, but it also seems unlikely the hosts have been using the Westworld park in the future to re-orchestrate all the events of S1 and 2 countless times just for host william to pass a fidelity test, seems more likely they'd just use a simulation. Could be wrong I have no idea what's going on

@@DR-xt5jq I agree that scenario it's quite unlikely. But all memories prior to fidelity test for William could be just printed as data in his pearl, no need for simulation or real life recreation. I think it was state that humans host only malfunction in reality, they still work fine in simulations as explainned by Ford. Bernard and his memories, as an example, does not mean Ford built him a host son to later recreate his death, but just printed this data in his pearl.

Maybe the S2 ending is the process of the S3 Man in Black host being created and the facility is in ruin due to the S1 massacre

its set far in the future in a simulation to test fidelity the writers said so in commentary about that scene so it doesnt fit in quite yet its a foreshadowing of something to come edit: spelling

Emmanuel Pitcher I thought that too! Would she go through all that trouble of hiding her body for Caleb to find, put her pearl in it to just get access to Rehoboam then she’s done with it. And when and where did she get it. That skeleton has not been used for several decades. I think it was more to that older body.

Bernard coming back from the sublime cover in dust could still happend a hundread years in the future and Caleb being confirmed for next season doesnt contradict with that. Remember we saw something similar in last scene of season 2 with no continuity for that yet. Would that mean Bernard won't appear next season? Or perhaps could a remaining copy of Dolores rebuild him from memory again? Just a logic excersice on posibilities, since I also believe Bernard it's not been more than a couple years with the "brain scanner". Also I asumed all we saw in last chapter was actually part of Solomon's plan as he either put something in Dolores mind or instruct her something just before the EMP.

This, only as an example, could be one of the most notorious cases showing that reality logics will never fully apply in a TV show. This is basics of analizing a ficition work. Utterly will happen whatever serves the narrative the writers want to fulfill. On the other hand basic physics, like gravity as example, could still be or not present, yet this is unrelated to your lack of a proper logic. The human data storage, the Forge, was supposedly destroyed submerged by Dolores on purpose to deny humans the immortality. Still it seems it was in ruins yet somehow working many years later for the fidelity test on William. Maybe it was waterproof storage or maybe consistency and logic won't always fully apply to a TV show or film. Now, how did Hale-Dolores to recover the data to build William? Did she read his "book"? Or did she build him from memory like Bernard?

Cody Burgess we just find out in the finale that Delores was the first that actually worked while all others failed. Meaning she was always around during the first days. We just learned of this though.

We have already seen Dolores outside her narrative, in the actual real world, while westworld was running as shown in scenes of S2. The overall world of the park's host adjust to work in abscent of some of its characters. Yet I think, but not for sure, that Dolores it's been always in the same role as the innocent rancher's daughter up to the Wyatt's actualization.

They said a few times that her role as the ranchers daughter was her new role. She had only been the ranchers daughter for a bit. Season 1 rewatch you’ll see.

Kalvin Braddock-Foster she was the ranchers daughter for young William and Old William that is at least 30 years of Ranchers daughter. Somewhere in the middle she was also the host for a military training park?

Badnewz Bandits but when in the timeline did she first meet Caleb and why wasn’t she playing the Ranchers daughter...why would ford let her leave west world?

I think the place could have been abandoned in the chaos of the riots.

But didn't Clementine and hanarayo take it for Serac/Maeve? That probably means Maeve is going to use that pearl to bring a version for Dolores back right?

@@homer54kid yeah, there is two working copies of Dolores, Lawrence and Hale, plus two innactive pearls, Conners in Hale's hands and Musashi recovered by team Maeve. All of wich needs further develop. Still I dont know for sure if out of the five pearls Hale-Dolores retrieves at the end of S2, one was Bernard. Cause it seems to me that Dolores explains she built him from memory by saying "I remember you once before, so I remembered you again.". This ambiguity could mean there's yet another host copy of Dolores.

@@homer54kid They brought the pearl to Maeve, not Serac. Remember that Serac accused Maeve of keeping the identity of Caleb from him and she as much as admitted it.
