The lesson Delores learned about humans iirc is that we’re simple, pleasure and pain, carrot and stick. We seek pleasure, we avoid pain. That’s the vast majority of humanity which made them easy for Rhehoboam to predict and easy for Hale to control. Outliers are people with different motivations than just seek pleasure avoid pain. Half what we know/common sense, half theory I reckon. But it seems very obvious to me

I think you have it on will and ambition, but not on putting someone ahead of themselves. Primarily as the first outlier we encountered isn't Caleb but the MiB. Though you could argue that love is still in play for him in the form of 'self love' as he is a classic narcissist.

I think it is the completely opposite. The normal humans are the ones who are easily copied, but outliers are hard to copy, since if normal humans are easy and simple in motive, it would be very easy. Outliers including MiB, James Delos, and Caleb, I don't think their common denominator is love, but obsession, they are all obsessed with something to the point where others might find it irrational and illogical. And that's why they all eventually fall apart in the fidelity test. Their minds simply aren't compatible with the perfect rational host system. And I think it is the reason why some hosts got "infected" would kill themselves, they introduced logic bugs into the host minds when they interact.

@@countingtls obsession sounds like a very plausible reason, look at how Caleb is introduced in this season, kind of obsessed to protect his family. And obsession in general is something that even humans find difficult to control

Yeah I was thinking about that too… why should they talk about Caleb, makes no sense. Also I want to know why Hale did an analysis which turned into the maze, what was the point about that scene?

@@noizW I think the maze showing up there was just a fun easter egg, or even something that Hale holds dear (she is a version of Dolores, after all)

Oh, I think he is referencing Westworld’s season coming to an end, unless HBO stops season five for tax reasons.

@@kendroid5120 I do believe he means season finale, but it was a stupid way to say it. Creators have expressed a 5th season to come.

Caleb seems to work differently than Delos did. We could see it was his body breaking down, but his mind was as sharp as ever to the last moment. I had the feeling Hale was intentionally giving him bodies meant to break down quickly.

@@ElysiaBrenner Wounds of several of the Calebs seemed self-inflicted, just like how Delos used to break down by hurting himself, not feeling at home in his new skin.

What is dead is meant to stay dead... Just like in A. I. Dead people can be revived, but no matter what, they will just die again... Souls stuff...

Hales' family might be Hales' "corner stone", but they were never part of the Dolores' corner stone. Why would Dolores in a Hale shell suddenly changed her own corner stone? It doesn't make sense.

@@countingtls they weren’t part of Dolores’s cornerstone but they WERE part of HALORES’S cornerstone. Even though they weren’t hers, she grew to love them.

Halores might have loved Hale’s family but they really didn’t love her back (they loved human Charlotte). She is a very lonely god. Caleb even through his struggles has Frankie and his wife who love him very much. he has that “reverie” to go on. Halores never has that and never will.

The host can’t 100 percent replicate all human emotions and it causes them to go crazy … maybe what all the outliers had in common was someone they loved . Like hale was most happy when she had her family and when they were gone she went crazy

@@richardwalker6004 Not just emotions but the way we develop through experiences and memories. hosts have experiences but Halores didn’t allow them to have memories. She (her Dolores copy) has been so corrupt that she didn’t remember the whole reverie thing - that’s what allowed Dolores and Maeve become sentient.

Naah i think it was clear in season 3 that there was a huge worldwide war.Rehoabam was responsible for the whole world as i recall from season 3 and in the end the war was won by Hale so she is experimenting in NY and it still seems like early stages of experimentation.

@@Reypstraptor4269 Ok. I lost interest in S03 so probably wasn't paying attention. That said, even the occasional reference to at least ONE other country wouldn't be too hard, surely. But then, this is an American show afterall...shouldn't expect otherwise😉.

It was probably off screen that Frankie added it in, before she sat down to drink and before host jay went in. It just took a bit for Maeve to get activated (and put her head cover back in).

there was a scene where Maeve was sitting and Frankie was in the room before Jay barged in and said they should shoot Maeve. I believe it was implied that Frankie put the pearl inside Maeve as she saw what Bernard did.

@@mi0sev Yeah, when I re-watched I realised that must have been the case, given Frankie's last set of dialogue to Jay. They'd just built up the strong possibility that Maeve may "wake up on the wrong side of the bed", I'd kinda gotten buckled in to actually see that play out. Ah well. Only two eps to go so I guess they gotta start skipping stuff lol

@@steel510rain3 When Christina exists? I was under the impression it's the same time as the Bernard story. It's POSSIBLE it's not, but I'm not sure setting it between the Original Caleb/Mauve time and Bernard/C time would do for the story. If it's further in the future then the entire C/Bernard revolution seems like a waste of our attention. I'm going to go by the assumption that we're now all caught up on timelines atm.

@@adventuresinportland3032 Didn't Christina meet (in an earlier episode) the same outlier that gave the flower to the host that killed him (then went on the rampage and killed herself). He was ranting about "the tower" to her. This puts Christina on the same timeline as the others we're seeing now. I guess there could be a gap between the start of the outliers (the outlier who killed herself) and the bernard timeline (the outlier on the roof), but that seems unnecessarily convoluted and deceptive even for WW. Her "awakening" being on the same timeline as (and part of) Bernard's attempt to save the world just seems to make more sense.

@@ChristopherB123 I agree it’s prob Bernard’s timeline, but Since time is not exactly linear for hosts, think season 1 Delores, and how her coworkers are there and not there…it’s questionable

Wyatt and Dolores are fused the same person aka Dolores who got out of the park. Then you have Halores, Dolores fusionned with whatever data they had about Hale. Then there's the Man in Black which is Dolores + William. There's Clementine which is her og + Dolores. And there's all the new host who are all part new Dolores/Halores. Every copy tend to fusion with the the ghost of the body they inhabit.

I didn't see one. But I thought the maze was part of Ford's game with Bernard (with william along for the ride) to create sentience and self-awareness in the hosts. Maeve's current body was built in season 3 so there would have been no reason to include the maze in that build.

She lied and said it was hidden downstairs, she had already reactivated Maeve who was likely still coming online

But when she leaves the room, the flap on her head looks open so why would she put the pearl in if there was a chance Jay could see it and try to destroy it. Maybe it is just the way her hair is makes it look like it is open.
