This shit was fuckin crazy to watch, I was like holy shit and the acting was just glorious. Man in Black is the best. A lot of People are critical of this season but some of the absolute best scenes like this one were in the season, and episode 4 the riddle of the Sphinx with William and Delos was amazing. Anyway ya this scene was truly insane to watch.

@@puppetmaster8551 yeah this is true about some sopranos characters, but i just couldnt like William and his blood thirst against the host and his ways. It honestly made me feel uncomfortable but it did make him compelling.
His redemption arc is yet to come. He will be copied by the hosts in the future. He is as we seen in that flash forward a few decades that he is being forced to relive this exact moment over and over again to achieve consciousness. It seems they have copied Emily too. So yeah I bet he will redeem himself by joining the faction of hosts in the war to come which want to prevent Dolores from wiping out humanity
He didn't care about the hosts turning on the guests, it was all a game to him. His own morality was a game to him. He had to go this far to see how evil westworld had made him.
There's more than enough interesting women characters anyway. More women will probably show up soon and men will either die or leave. That's what's happening to every TV shows and movies now.
I'm almost positive that his daughter was really dead, that the daughter was a host. I mean those cards don't guarantee that you're a human, just that you have a card.

The card not meant to prove she is a human, it prove she telling the truth, William doubt her because he think there noway she can read his file in westword. It also show that she clearly know why her mother committed suicide, she just pretend and keep question her father about "finding the truth" to make him feeling guilty and admitted that he is the one that make her mother suicide not her, Emily has show that she have a selfish and sadist personality even in the past. Emily has been scanned and William definitely had checked inside her wirst, like he keep checking insider his wirst later to see if he's really a human
That's the point. He's so convinced that this is all Ford's trickery that he doesn't even pay attention to that. He's already thinking about how to kill all the soldiers, thinking he's two steps ahead, when in reality he's gone two steps too far.
This was actually a dumb moment. You don't shoot your daughter unless you're 100% sure she's a host, and even if she was it's kind of fucked up. But William was maybe 99% sure and that's not enough.
It’s not dumb but it’s definitely fucked up, William is a fucked up person who was clearly losing it thinking everything is part of the game and Ford planned this shit out, he didn’t give a fuck about his daughter there or anyone else and only cared about finishing the so called maze/game. Someone in their right mind would kill their daughter but that’s clearly not William

Not to mention he didn’t HAVE to shoot her to find out, he didn’t have to shoot her at all actually he could’ve walked home w her and found out. @@Iambunny-ry2os the dude was losing his mind and was paranoid as fuck, it’s not that hard to understand he’d make some bad reckless decision. It’s really not stupid it made sense for his character and plenty of people make band decisions when their mental health is not in a good place
@@Iambunny-ry2os yea im kinda mixed on it. it is incredibly stupid of him to do that no doubt, but he didn't shoot her to prove she wasn't real, he shot her to gloat to Ford how smart he was and that he couldn't be tricked by his games. William has this paranoia that Ford is always pulling the strings and fucking with him so he was being cocky thinking he'd figured it out and was making a big show of it... William is an idiot, idk why people act like he's smart.
Makes sense, since it was established later that he was usually paranoid and always thought someone was out get him, plus he was already basically losing his mind throughout the episode.
@@yahu5988 I think he felt responsible to give her the answer she was searching for and she already figured out who he really is and from his point of view he wanted to be honest with her at least once, cause he covered his true self the whole time from everyone.

The weakest part of this scene probably was Emily underestimating exactly how disconnected her father was, especially if she had seen his profile? She would have known from his profile he was very dangerous and if he had suffered a mental break she should have relayed how delicate the situation was. When she told the QA operatives “I think he suffered a psychotic break”, I’m not sure if she actually meant that or was just playing it up to try and set up him being sent to a mental facility presumably after they made it back to the mainland, but with the intelligence and knowledge of William’s endeavors in the park, I definitely feel like she WOULD have either proven how she knew about William’s life in the park especially if William was already spurting off that he believed she wasn’t real as opposed to what she actually did or advised QA to be more cautious approaching him. Didn’t have an issue with the character or actress definitely wished we’d seen more of her alive but as far as this scene goes it was weak on the writers part in my opinion that she did so little to address his obvious mental snap
She could really be a host How did her mum find the profile and why did she give it to her and when and why is she at once this angry at him before they talked normally
This show is really about killing all the interesting characters but keeps the boring one dimensional characters alive. Like how can a show be good with so shitty characters or am I just waiting it to fulfill its potential.
Every people think that William is the bad guy. But you shouldn’t judge to early. The theory and storyline behind Westworld will show you something bigger. People doesn’t watch Westworld to learn something about theirself. They already know who they are. But what tv watcher wanna see is, what they could be. In the Westworld Episode, different characters say the truth, but people don’t want to hear it. They want a bigger story, something more. In one of the first episodes, the host told William: „No fear. you can’t kill, that you shouldn’t.“ Ford told : „they are host, they are not real. They only do, what they are programmed for. They follow the code which we gave them“ In another scene, Ford told his younger ford-host „in a magic world, everything in magic, besides the magician.“ We have hundreds of dialogs in the series, in which somebody told, that something is not real. Moreover in season 1 Ford : i am working on a new storyline and it will be published soon..l. But where was the storyline? We can see it in season 3....

Believe it or not this is not real life and William was clearly starting to lose his mind and become extremely paranoid thinking everything was some elaborate part of the game from Ford to fuck with him. This scene made perfect sense after watching the show and watching William slowly descend into madness
