With the news of the world, I think we should all practice our longest and loudest screams more often. Tip of the hat to every member of this band - drums, bass, keys, backing vocals - they all bring it 100%.
There are actually entire cultures out there that use scream therapy, and there are a few therapists in the US that use it with their patients, and recommend it as well. And this was long before the news of the world today.
They're all experienced players who are used to playing more demanding music. Forming a band under a pact to never take it seriously must have been such a breath of fresh air for each member... And the fact that it ended up being everyone's big break must have been mind-blowing...
My first impressions of Wet Leg is their originality and some old school age group of my age group (66 ) will no doubt have a pop slagging the youth of today off. I've not had this tablet long and admittedly some of sounds from the youth is difficult to comprehend but there are a lot listening to classic rock and pop and doing there own thing musically and some of there music is original and catchy. It's day two of Glastonbury and no doubt it will be another learning curve and I'm looking forward to it.👍🎸☮️🏴🇺🇲🏴🎸🇦🇺😁🇨🇦🇳🇴🇸🇪🇧🇪
Couldn't agree more. I was listening to a Pearl Jam show the other day and Eddie Vedder sings a little bit of Chaise Lounge during the show. They are everywhere now and I love it!
What a refreshingly brilliant band Wet Leg are! Equipped with superb songs and with a very defined sound. They picked up where B52's left off. Super cool...
@@nevinphil Ah, this may have been before your time lol but there was a pretty decent Scottish footballer who used to play for Chelsea ... called Pat ..
we, the world, the peeps, really have a need for an IDLES/Wet Leg tour! seriously. i speak for all of people, thank you kindly for sharing your art with us, and for doing what you do. Thank You
I can't believe how cool this band are. I heard this song on the radio about 6 months ago and assumed it was a one hit wonder record. Turns out they've got loads of songs like this. Best British band since Arctic Monkeys in my opinion.
Did well at Glastonbury but, from what little Sky Arts put up, spectacularly at Isle of Wight festival. Helluva live band, and more fun than I've had for a while.
@@shardanette1 Ignore the music snob. They'll just tell you to be quiet, because they're not intelligent enough to be constructive in their criticism.
@@maldaley235 I have actually and they DON’T sound anything like them - get your hearing checked and stop trolling, you brain dead hipster. And let’s face it The Strokes and KOL are actually talented. These lot sound like a bunch of perfunctory hipsters.
@@chriscunningham8703 Both those bands are exceptional, Wet Leg probably uses them as inspiration, nonetheless they're a decent band with decent tracks.
To quote someone else above: "Hello. I'm a music snob. I go onto the performances of artists and spew my uneducated musical opinion, by saying that said artist awful/overrated/garbage without providing any constructive feedback. I then wonder why people get so worked up about making my opinion, when I provide nothing constructive. Why are people so negative about my negative outlook? But I'm a music snob, and know much more then them." Yours sincerely, …”
They certainly don't look like they are enjoying being censored lyric wise , plus the performances last night were sadly lacklustre ....... they were a band with shackles on .
That would have been the third or fourth performance of those two songs for that appearance. For that show there is usually at least two complete set rehearsals and run throughs. Not sound checks but complete run through for sound mixing and video camera edits. Zero spontaneity in final performance. Doing a "live" performance like this for TV shows is at best a drag, at worst a really soul destroying experience. No fun. Bands do these because it is great publicity and a great way of getting your music in front of a huge audience. No other reason. The only shows that are fun for the bands are true live TV music shows like The Tube back in the 1980's. Just like playing a set at a venue.
@@amoebavirus1508 Funnily enough due to the broadcast time on Friday evening seeing The Tube was very hit and miss at the time so did not see lots of episodes. It was only when I got to watch all 5 series all the way through a few years ago that I realized what a uniquely fantastic show The Tube had been. And how many great live performances they had shown. Often from the most surprising people. As you said, nothing like it now.
Liam stands next door and sees himself at a young age. Your Ladies rocks mega - you can play with Jools and in front of Oasis. WOW - Enjoys it! Quite forgotten: Jools Holland is the best!
