I watched an interview with them from their place on the Isle of Wight. .. they say Chaise lounge 47 times in the song. This is like fresh air. Ediot: sphellings
Love it. And Love WL. Check out Devil's Haircut, Beck. That for me is the THE best music video ever shot. Diffrence to this video. It was the first time I ever saw the ken Burns effect. I was blown away by it back in the day '96 and even managed to buy it from a company on VHS - rare in those days.
I can't wait to watch this at Glastonbury (I don't go these days, Im too old and boring), with 50,000 people chanting "all day long on the chaise longue'.. And they will, oh they will...
I think Wet Leg will continue to smash, and just get better. They are just having fun and we can jump in for the ride or not. I really hope this was a great experience for them. Smash it, Wet Leg band!! 🤘🤘
this song totally reminds me of the New Wave music when it first came out back in the day in the early 80's...like something they would've played on KROQ in LA...totally loving this song!!
One my favourite new bands I saw 👀 them live . Met the singer and the drummer incredible brilliant band and this band is mega amazing incredible I love them
Omg how I envy you. Most fun band since, I dunno, Sugar Cubes. Might even like the second single more. They look and sound a tad tired here...there's a long way to go from here, let's hope its a long one
@@TheTransitmtl ……I think you are right on the money on post-punk, my guess would be 1978-80. The music definitely has a hook and is fun. After reading many of the comments, there is a lot of praise from the 50-70 crowd (myself included 53😂) which confirms that we have heard this before and it was good!
There are so many amazing things about this video & performance. I particularly love the bass player's melodic movement at the end of sections. The camera work and audio mix is exceptional. Obviously amazing track too! The lipstick continuity makes me think this was edited from a few takes? One of the next tracks of 2021
Damn it, you're spot on. It would've fit in perfectly with my Franz Ferdinand, Electric Six, Scissor Sisters, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian etc collection at the time.
