Around 1700 rpm on wool and like 12-1300 on foam, I have never used anything but 3m so I can’t Rea compare to anything else, seems to work pretty well, but if there is something better I’m always open to trying it.
@@MrFireman164 I recently had a 2hr long comvo with an old school painter. And I told him I didn't like 3m because they have fillers. Seems like scratches always come back after a few washes or days in the sun. He says my rpm was too low (1400)....he uses 3m....personally I really like the 3d aca 500 Xtra cut. It seems to remove 3000 grit with a foam pad....I was going to take my car to 8000 grit. I hear that 3000 to 8000 is better than the 5000.....I've never tried it. I'd imagine the 5000 and 8000 is basically a wet paper towel
@@lonestarlows I just read an article from Tyler krause on buffing, not sure if you have heard of him but he’s a paint and body god basically, does riddler and sema winning cars, he says never to buff with wool pad faster than 8-900 😮, says faster isn’t better and that it can even cause solvent pop because gasses with release from the heat. Also no d/A’s always by hand even trizac wrapped around a soft block, I noticed on this bandsaw son 3000 grit pigtails that I missed, no biggie but if it were a car it would be.
