The Rex Supply Co. soaps and aftershave products are by far my favorites. 1955 was the first shave soap, aftershave balm & splash I tried when I first got into this that I did not just pick up at Walmart. The scent will always be special and it is still my wife’s favorite. I use all 3 scents regularly and they are the only ones I have gone back and reordered multiple times. I truly enjoy the fact that for each scent there is a soap, balm & splash and I love the tallow base of the soap. In my humble opinion HANDS DOWN the best products out there!
Hey Matt, I've been following your stuff for a while, and I took advantage of your generous 24% off offer for new years to finally get one of your Rex razors (the Envoy), and, among a few other things, the sample bundle of all three soaps. I'm looking forward to trying them, perhaps maybe a little more than the razor itself! I know you sort of situate the "Rex" brand in the post WWII era, but I hope you might continue to develop it through this soap/splash/balm line by creating new products for 1922, 1933, and 1944. I think there's a lot of potential there, in terms of scents and branding. 1922 sees us in the post-WWI era, and the great economic boom of the roaring 20s and the Jazz Age. 1933 sees FDR taking office, the New Deal, and Americans battling the Great Depression. 1944 sees us in the midst of the Second World War, with the invasion of Europe in 1944, and the tide having turned in the Pacific, while others at home rolled up there sleeves and took to the factories to support the effort. I think creating three product sets for these decades would complete the ultimate vibe "Rex" is going for.
I ordered the Rex soap samples and I'm extremely impressed. It was super easy to produce a thick creamy lather even from the tiny sample jars AND hardly any soap was needed to produce that luxurious lather.
I love LOVE all three of these and I hope you always make them! Additionally I really hope to see a 1944! Something darker. Perhaps smoky, leathery, musky, a splash of old bourbon in there perhaps. Like an old WW2 NCO club after a hard day’s training.
I have all these soaps with matching balms. They are great and unique. Matt I really appreciate your attention to detail with all the Rex and Razor Emporium products
Hi Matt I own the 1955 1966 and just ordered the 1977 from Agent Shave here in the uk. Just tried to buy the splash too but it’s out of stock. I will record a video on my channel like I have with all the others. I’m 65 years old so been shaving for some 52 years and out of the thousands of shave soaps I have used the 1955 soap and splash are the best I have ever used along with the Henson +++ and that is the truth the scent is just amazing. Thank you for the great products you have Atb Paul
Definitely want to try out the 55 . Want to try a Tallow based soap. Right now I’m loving the Razor emporium Nordic soap and splash. It’s by far my favorite.
Your team just shipped me a sample pack of these along with a sample pack of your Vegan Soaps. I cannot wait to try them all and find those that I like. I suspect this coming year will be filled with full size tins of many of your soaps. Thanks for offering them. Not many do. I don't know why? Happy New Year Matt. Good health and continued success.
Hey Matt! Now you have to do a 1944 version dedicated to the brave men and women from WWII!! Maybe a camouflage art design? Just a thought! Nice to see good old tallow soaps again. Everyone is still using the vegan bases which is fine, but tallow is where it's at!! Thanks for the videos! JimG
Almost forgot to tell you, I just picked up the most incredible deal off ebay! I purchased a razor lot for just $27 and change total price and in it is a Gillette double ring!!!!!! The seller had no idea what that is!!!! It looks to be in great condition!! I can't wait for it to arrive sometime next week!!
Congrats - you're the winner of the Weekly T-Shirt give-away! Please contact us at help@razoremporium.com with your address and size and we will get it shipped out right away! Thanks everyone! Stay tuned next week for another giveaway! - Razor Emporium Team
i have found the formula for greatest soap in the world. just mix some scentless PAA/TGS with scents from any other brand since PAA tries to win most memorable scent on the christmas fair every time and TGS doesn't even try to make it smell nice. I prefer scents of TOBS MdC and Stirling.
I use your 1966 set and love it. I would love to try both the 1955 and the 1977, but I hate to put out the money and then throw away the product if its not what I want. Sugestion, have a very small sampler with a tiny dab of each product. Just a thought 🙏🏼 Best wishes and keep up the good work. 🪒
