I love that there is a London mission. One of the places where this sort of thing would never be used! 😀 Also: Rach: “Make it rain!” Sim: “Nope.” Would like to see some DCS videos.

Actual flames would be helpful. This does look fun and challenging but frustrating. Enjoyed the video as always.

DCS is so much fun and the helicopters are great in it, especially the Mi17 and the Apache for me

I saw someone else’s video where they fought a fire in London and there was flames and the water did release from the bucket. Possibly the mission didn’t load properly for you.

I had the same experience, I initially thought that I got to the scene too late because it was only a smouldering ruin , I tried again at 180kts without a bucket and still there were no flames, the Rockies fire worked for me though.

i am going to use this thing so much in fs2024 im hoping the firefighting career has dynamic firespread and fires that start in random places

i think ive come across one firefighting mission i could complete which was the one in the canadian rockies which i had to scoop from a frozen lake thanks to accuseason and the new sim updates that froze the lake over the london one didnt show smoke or fire anywhere and the LA refinery one only had smoke but no fire so they water wasn't dropping like it should have i did do the alaska car accident rescue mission but havent tried any of the others

Works well in the other fire missions. For some reason, no flames. Just smoke.

Indeed it seems that the mission didn't load well in this case - no flames, only smoke! And since the mission script doesn't detect the flames, it wont trigger the water release. I think I know why, though. When you start the sim on an airport close to the mission area (eg. start the LAX mission in KLAX), the effects may load prematurely and this results in a buggy mission experience. Its best to load the sim far from the mission area and then launch the mission from the tablet. This is a known problem, and currently being resolved.

To bad it did not work as it should.. Maybe the answer is on the bucket list ;)

Yeah looks like flames have not loaded in just the smoke. Then again if it’s an oil fire not sure water would help anyways. 😅

Perhaps the problem was caused by adjusting the day/time forward as it appears the fire has already burnt out with only smoke remaining?
