Marty used to live in Cudham. Remember serving him over the deli counter at safeways in biggin hill. I was only 16 and his poster was on my wall. Can you imagine the excitement when i met him.
Happy memories of waking up at 4.30am with the birds singing to go to work as a postie in Bromley with this song playing on a summer's morning! Great song. Where have the years gone?
Played it 4 times today on my tv his cheeky grin when he sings only only only makes me smile so much its infectious love wet wet wet his voice melts your heart best group of 80's
Wet Wet Wet .. One of the influencial British groups in the 80s - I thoroughly enjoy listening to fr then as a 16 year old teen till now an old 51 year old ..
Love this tune, incredible how it still retains all the magic it had, back when I was 10 years old and wandering round a shopping centre in Newcastle, visiting the city for my very first time. They really were a very good band, well deserving of all the success they had. And I thank them for adding to the awesomeness of the '80s (and my childhood).
I spent a few hours in New quays famous rock pool underneath the suspension bridge at 2am in the morning in June 1988 drinking New quay steam beer with my beautiful girlfriend and a few lads from Lancashire who I knew who had made the trip on their own. What a night and what a fab town Newquay was then. Wonderful memories I will take to my grave.
Aahhh I miss Wet Wet Wet! Saw them in concert a few times, brilliant every time. Once my friend felt faint and had to sit on the floor amongst everyone's feet, the people around us were busy offering her drinks and looking after her, so I figured she would be fine and I carried on dancing and watching the show. Whoopsie, she never let me forget it! Oh dear, not good, but at least I didn't miss any of the concert! Haha
marty your old neighbour willie here cheers for the chat and beer we had in the Horse shoe bar in GLASGOW .. FOLKS YOU WILL NEVER MEET SUCH A BRILL GENT A TRUE GENUINR GUY MARTY ITS BEEN A PLEASURE KNOWING YOU FOR THE LAST 25 YEARS AND WE STILL STAY IN CONTACT

We're all very lucky that we can reminisce over music such as this tune on RU-vid. Imagine where the world would be without RU-vid - now that would be scary lol!
There was a line in this song that sounded like "Check my willy" - childish I know, but I was waiting for the line, but it's gone! With or without the willy, it's a great tune that sends me right back to simpler times, when there was no bills to pay, just typical teenage angst of trivial traumas... like where the next 2 AA batteries were coming from to power my Walkman!!!
Everyone is like "I was so young when this was released" I'm sorry I was born in 2002. You don't know how lucky you are, you could grow up with good music
I'm from 2001 and I agree that the music before was better than (most) stuff nowadays, but you can still grow up with music like this.. you're listening to it now while growing up so :')
SWEET SWEET MUSIC. MARTI PELLOW, MY FAVE MALE PERFORMER. HE'S GOT THE GREATEST SMILE ON HIS FACE, AND SINGS HIS HEART OUT. MY FAVE PERFORMANCE: WISHIN I WAS LUCKY 🤩
Takes me back to the 80’s. We’d go back to my girlfriends after a night out with burger and chips. Put on some videos. Same girl is my wife, mother and grandmother. Only seems like yesterday!!!!!
