They were run like a typical venture capital funded company. Their business model was not sustainable. I was interested in some space from them in Manhattan, and it would've been cheaper if I rented a hotel room. Their target audience was one or very few, desk folk. The ir prices were too high for that audience.

If I had to guess the CEO probably misused company funds to acquire buildings under his legal ownership to lease back to the company. Not exactly illegal (depends how judge or jury sees it) but definitely unethical from a business standpoint.

Hi Peter, thank you for a very enlightening, too bad they didn't consult you! and even more, the main guys they keep a lot of their own money that they made personally! amazing how that works, you can crash an entire company, and well, no hard feelings , right? Good Landlords take care of things.

Looks like Mr Neumann made it out like a bandit. Well played Mr Neumann. Seems that the real big money is made in "unethical ways" or "gray areas", while the rest if us are trying to figure out how to play the game by the rules. You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.

That's an interesting perspective. What we have seen is that the good guy finishes in the best position. You can't fool all the people all the time.
