I remember the water being really close as you skimmed the water of the Buller Riverto land on Runway 22 in the Fokker Frienship. Brings back memories.
The runways in Westport are less than 1300m in length, and the Frienship required over 1000m to land. It was tight and the pilots were keen to get wheels down on the asphalt as soon as possible
Wow, how cool! It's such an awesome experience to fly in such a tiny plane. This reminds me of the time I did my first ever scenic flight over Steep Point, Western Australia. Me and my family of 3 others, and the pilot, were crammed in a tiny Cessna for 40 minutes. Whilst the rest of my family looked at the views, I was the one taking the photos and videos 😁
Great stream Kevin when u flew the PC12 to Westport from Wellington with passengers and return. Bet they are proud. We only live once why not have the opportunity to try new things that exciting in life as we never get a chance to do it. Great filming as well :)
