I really hate this trend of using recorded verbal tracks. If you're going to insist on having a robotically babbling machine interspersed with your music, could you at least do something other than hackneyed expressions and simple statements that sound like someone's reading program notes aloud? Come on, composers, haven't you ever read great literature? Haven't you ever read a poem? Don't you know about how musical language can be when the words are well-written and the voiceover is beautifully executed and recorded? If you do, I see no evidence of that in these new marching band, percussion and DCI works.
