I'm from Grand Rapids, so I remember watching this station, and many others in the Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo/Battle Creek area sign off at night. This station signed of at 1:30am Mon-Fri, 1am on Saturday, and Midnight on Sunday. I'm still looking for sign offs for WOTV Channel 8 (now WOOD-TV), and WZZM-TV Channel 13. But thie brings back so many memories! Thanks for finding this!
Does anyone know where to find the instrumental jazz bumps from WGVU from the 90s? It was a grey background and Pantone pink and green lettering WGVU don't remember what it advertised or if it did at all advertise.
WGVU used to run their ITV (Instructional Television) blocks during the afternoon on weekdays and would run bumpers saying which programs they were showing with music... was meant for teachers to give them time to prepare their VCR to record the upcoming program. Teachers took advantage of that when I was still in public school so I'm sure a tape recorded off that block still exists somewhere. At least that's what I'm assuming you're referring to.
