Te Karere host, Scotty Morrison, explains the famous words of "turou Hawaiki" or "may the force be with you".
Mr Morrison, has borrowed George Lucas's, famous Star Wars, quote "may the force be with you".
"turou Hawaiki" loosely translates to "let the ancient homeland of Hawaiki, glisten on, in your minds' eye for eternity."
Mr Morrison thought for rangatahi to understand "turou Hawaiki," George Lucas's, story line quote would help carry the same fundamentals, as
"let the ancient homeland of Hawaiki, glisten on, in your minds' eye for eternity" he says.
Mr Morrison's first cousin, Temuera Morrison, featured as Jango Fett in Star Wars: Episode II -- Attack of the Clones, 2002.
Māori lived in Hawaiki some 1500 years ago. Hawaiki is thought to be somewhere in the south pacific ocean.
Ki Matahauariki, was filmed at the national museum, Te Papa, in Wellington, New Zealand.
