Alright so more detail that I just learned. Sheriff, hired lawyer on his $130k account, which was banned 8 months ago. He was able to get most of his money back this way.
That is a crazy amount of money. Got tired of opening my wallet to this game when I wanted to grow in power and uninstalled it. Sticking with D4, D3 and D2 remastered. Think most should do the same. No one should be dropping this kind of money on any game.
What’s the difference between paying for movies a few drinks at the bar going out to eat paying for tv subscription services ect. It’s a source of entertainment if someone wishes to spend their entertainment dollars on the game why does it trigger you?
@@Jcs57 That's a poor comparison. Most people don't spend $130k on movies, drinks, going out to eat and TV subscriptions in their lifetime, let alone in the 13 or so months this tab was run up in lol. The difference is low 6 figures. I agree, people should spend how they want to spend, but you can't expect somebody who's never had that amount of disposable income to understand it because they simply never will. Most people run out of money before they get another deposit. Similar to people with more modest means not understanding spending 6 figures on a game, people with all their bills on auto-pay won't understand the idea of having $0 in their account, and the richer somebody is, or them just always having been wealthy is only going to make the distance between those understandings greater. I don't even think the OP was triggered, all they said was it's a crazy amount of money ( It is, whether it's dispoable or not ), and they stopped spending. Fishing for drama at its finest.
This game will never die, it's like the real world some people drives lambos and some people drive hondas. But at least in DI you can do stuff together.
This does not apply to everyone, only those players who were unjustly or unfairly banned while Blizzard (tolerated or) failed to aggressively mitigate cheating. I have little doubt there exists players on my server that are guilty of various levels of cheating but overall, it hasn't had that much of an impact on my enjoyment of the game. It appears that cheating is a bigger problem and more prolific at resonance levels above roughly 6K. Regardless, like any online game, Blizzard and NetEase must take steps to effectively eliminate cheating or die a death of a thousand cuts.
The game is like Vegas slots and Blackjack where the house has a huge advantage! You can’t advance without spending and there are internal limits to prevent you from advancing without spending hundreds of dollars and thousands of hours.
You can buy nowadays a 6 to 7k res account for 3k$ no wonder wales are pissed when they spend over 50k to get same level. I don’t see it a problem though the only problem I see is fking Susan destroying markets in the game.
What a crock. If I was the judge, I would have thrown the case out of court. No no dude, you paid "to be the best", congrats. Welcome to your end game glory.
am i pissed about the 3-5k that i spent on this game when it first came out? yes. could i do a lot to fix my life with that money now that would be much more beneficial than jumping back in this game that i havent played for over a year, yes. but then what happens when they ban you from playing any other blizzard title ever again. i still enjoy d2:r and also would like to one day attempt to enjoy D4 if they ever get the game to a decent state.
They don't ban people from every future game, thats clear from the fact this guy is playing DI again already. Hell, in D3 when you get banned you can contact customer support to have them remove the banned D4 copy from your bnet account so you can buy it again to continue playing. It's just about money for them. D4 is in a better state. Season 4 has been the best season so far to date, so if you're trying to enjoy that now's the time to give it another go.
The $130k account referenced in reddit went through legal route after it was banned by Blizzard. It happened 8 months ago when it was banned. It had nothing to do what reddit OP said. But what is on reddit must be true, :D!
What happened on Reddit is true. This is all legit. The cheating that’s been happening we have a lot of proof going back a year. Kincaid had ruined multiple servers and blizzard did absolutely nothing. There were 1000’s of bots on high heavens and still are. They ruined the market long before blizzard ruined it. I could go on and on.
they should bann all the players who sell items acounts o platinums out of market i have seen many of them on world channel and i ban them but they ar so many , now the game is fak up cuz of that, blizard must find them fast before playes starting refunds or leaving the game
@@jananyyogo3611 The $130k account owner hired a lawyer after the account was banned 8 months ago. Paid lawyer fee to get some money back. It is governed by FL state laws.
@@jananyyogo3611 wont work in the states, ALOT of states are starting to pass laws against mass charge backs due to abuse cases, also your credit score gets absolutely decimated by mass charge backs and banks are starting to take action against people who abuse the charge back systems.
Lol. Yes, you bet that was worth it (to go through all the legal troubles to get the money back)! Many people will never get so much money through their whole family inheritance procedure..talking about a fucked up world we are in now, and games made essentially to please and squeeze every possible pennies from that very specific audience too!... 😂
if you can spend 130k in a games means that you have more than 10 milion in your bank account, and you not care come on… Moreover, how do you know that susan uses stolen credit cards? whats the evidences?
Yeah I don't see how a company can steal credit cards and still be in business this long even if they are in China. They have been around since DI started. I would think law enforcement and Blizzard/Microsoft would do something to stop them over a span of 2 years. Regardless, I like Appollyon's build and update videos, but stuff like this makes me feel like the guy is just posting it for click-bait and desperate for views.
The early wave of chargebacks in September the year the game was released was the first indication of this. When people are selling $100 / 7200 orb bundles for $10 - $20 you can bet quite confidently that something is going on. This is generally people using stolen CC info and trying to squeeze as much money off the card as possible before it gets called in. So you pay via whatever method that they can turn into cash and if they're lucky they can get enough transactions in before the card is dead to at least be worth the risk they are taking. Some people will say its just region swapping. They are simply incorrect. Region swapping has been curbed pretty hard since the games release, with commonly used regions / currency's like Argentina, Ukraine and others being shut down or made much more difficult to use, but even at their finest the best swaps were only resulting in people getting $100 backs for maybe $60 or so. And thats if you had somebody that weren't taking much of a cut for their time. Even now you can see ads on some servers talking about $7 for a 15,000 orb account that can "live for 1 day". They won't attach Susans name to that directly, but its not hard to put 2 and 2 together. What Susan is good at is distancing themselves far enough from it that it doesn't become a problem for their brand, which has been around for decades. Susan also uses a lot of other tactics that are not directly fraud in the strictist definition but still sticking it to Netease / Blizz. Ever see a ton of lvl 30 accounts running strings of Eternal Legendary crests on your server? They don't even stay in the group to finish the run, they'll que public groups and then leave as soon as they walk through the portal, hoping that some random will complete the run and then they just get their gems in the mail. Then they sell whatever they can, move the plat off that account onto whatever main account they want to put it on and initiate a charge back on the payment sourced used. Rinse, repeat. There's lots of tricky shit people get up to.
@@kangaxxoc what kind of retarded logic is this? I'm a software dev, my expenses only account for about 55% of my after tax income. This leaves me with a considerable amount of my salary leftover every year but I assure you I do not have 10 million in the bank, but I'm also 6 figures into Diablo Immortal. Money doesn't work the way you are describing lol. When somebody will sell you a "15k orb account, account can stay alive 24 hours!" For as little as $7 you can bet your ass it's a stolen payment source. What they are doing is trying to leech as much money off of it as possible before the card is cancelled. Stop defending something that's been known for years and years.
