Once again a wonderful encounter with a whale shark at Chumphon Pinnacle near Koh Tao.
Unfortunately, there are always photographers who use a flash to take a great photo. Unfortunately too often also in the eyes of the whale shark. This is on the one hand unpleasant for the animal and on the other hand one of the safest methods to drive the animal away.
Please dear underwater photographers or those who want to be - please do not use underwater flashes with whale sharks, manta rays or turtles. With turtles this can even lead to death.
