The Sailing Association Mar Menor [SAMM] has bought a new boat to replace the tired old RIB. It's a Whaly 435R and currently sporting a 40hp Mariner twin cylinder 2stroke. We also have a 40hp 4stroke, but it needs some maintenance

Bow is lower than a RIB so can get quite wet inside driving into waves. A very durable boat with BETTER seating than a RIB .

It possibly can, but it's rated for up to only 40hp max, if one places a higher rating engine on any boat, then what's recommended, one is opening a can of worms / not recommended, but to each is own, good luck.
