I bet that with that video, many girls around the globe fell in love with George 😀. While he in particular was seen as a sex symbol, it was Andrew Ridgeley who gave him confidence, charisma and style. George said on a few occasions that his life would probably have been different if he hadn't met Andrew.
Yes girl you are right, the girls and the boys loved seeing them in their white Speedo’s. In fact there was a pull out poster from a pop magazine with George in his and my sister had it in her bedroom. Me as a 10yr old little gay boy just used to stare at it constantly 😆

Very cheesy and very 80s but you can already see they were going to be huge! I think this would have probably been a big 80s hit in the US but I think this was only released outside of the US as I have no memory of it at all and only recently discovered this song/video through RU-vid. My first memory of Wham as a child of the 80s are the songs “wake me up before you go-go”, everything she wants” and “ careless whisper”. Those songs were huge hits in the US and constantly on the radio and on MTV. Thanks for your great reaction as usual!!! 😊. Girl, I never even realized Andrew was hot until I was older. I couldn't see past George, he blinded you. I was soooo young and even I freaked over this video. Sweet Lord, one of my fave because it shows his natural VERY curly hair that he preferred straightened.
I love this song so much! Wham was great, but George was even better on his own. RIP George, definitely gone too soon. This has such a fun vibe to it! I remember this and thinking damn I need to have this life! I miss the 80's so much lol
This song was he was only 19 years old. This song have somes reggae vibe in this song. Crazy how George was and how this sogn was so lighting. This song was very popular in Europe when it's came out. Wham became hugely popular in 1983 in UK and compared to the fame of ''Duran Duran'' Fun Fact: He cited that he hated so much the first ''WHAM'' album and he always ignored all the album since 1986 all the first album of ''WHAM''. For him, this album didn't ressembled him at all with his personality and this is the reason why he ignored. He always prefer to singing the songs who this was close with his personnality. Also, this first album was released with the first record company ''Innervision'' and quit the record company, for a story of fraud with the record company and signed with Sony after that.
