I work at a recycling plant in Michigan, my aunt also used to work there with me. I came in after her. She had worked her way up to a team lead position and worked it for about 6 months but she stepped down because it was too much for her (its a physical job) but she was able to keep her raise. About a month ago they laid off anyone who had gotten a raise in the passed year and the only reason i know that is because the hr lady told me and they were replaced by migrants because they could pay them less. All the people that were let go were black with the exception of 1 white guy. So when he says black jobs im assuming he means inner city jobs like what’s happening in Chicago
