I decided to record a short video about why I picked Genesis G70 over the other cars in its class. Let me know in the comments if you have any thoughts regarding the G70.
@@Shadygobang yeah it's a steal. When I got my settlement from car accident I put it towards principal so now I owe $18K and I only have 24K miles. I mean it's wild deal
How come you didn’t shop the s4/s5 I’m similarly looking around what you are and I’ve decided on an s5 sportback, excellent build quality, plenty of power I think has the best exhaust sound, nice digital gauge cluster and I think has the best exterior styling and look of the class.
I actually did shop for an S5. However it was $15k more expensive than G70, and it didn’t deliver the feeling. Exterior design wise, it is the best in class and one of the best in the world right now, car is simply beautiful.
It’s just 4cyl doesn’t do it for me. I work for Benz and new C43 feels downgrade power wise from G70 3.3 twin turbo. Unless you use sport or sport plus, but then it’s way too stiff and jerky. Otherwise my heart is always with Benz.
For the price point you really can’t beat it, too bad it has one of the worst exhaust, only reason I won’t get one. It really doesn’t compare to the m340, S4 and the v6 c43 but if you don’t care about exhaust or brand it’s really the best bang for your buck you can get. Still saving towards a m340 or 540, I test drove the g70 and just couldn’t love it.
Exhaust isn’t the loudest, I agree, but it has a nice tone to it, which means simple resonator delete will solve the problem :) M340 is a great performance car, however it fails to deliver the luxury of an everyday luxury sedan for its price, I think. S4 or C43 w205 would be a great choice.
@@MinkShock I am considering doing a secondary cat delete. Adds better tone and less drone and vibration. But to be honest I’m having issues with the car, so that’s first :(
@@RevZoneReveiwstrue but it doesn’t have to be the V-series CT5 in order for you to get the 6 cylinder. There’s a standard 3.0TT in the premium luxury CT5 550T and it’s a better overall car for about the same money as this genesis otd.
@@G-Rated While that is a great option for its money, that package is not sporty enough. To me CT4 and CT5 are amazing sedans, but they come to life and open their potential only in V form :) Plus I’m Sorry I might be a little bias, but G70 interior is above any competitors in its class.
Totally agree. However, M340 does have 330i interior unless optioned otherwise. Plus Bridgestone all season can hold the car still while launching it, simply can’t grip.
@@dennythedavinchi3832 I prefer G70 handling more, it’s more fun and more engaging. I look at cars differently, to me Type R will never be a good pick, it’s just too perfect lol
The GV70 is more practical and can actually seat adults comfortably in the rear seats … Best value luxury brand available at this point of time .. I’m very satisfied with the 2.5T engine too for a daily driver in a city .. but enjoy your G70 if it had more rear seat room I’d have bought one prior to the GV70 coming out
Lol that’s how I know you never driven one the g70 feels 98% as good as the Beamer haha buddy there lead engineer worked on the g70 the b58 is a better powertrain but the g70 is a stunner way nicer than a 3 series there everywhere I coudnt be another one
