Reminds me of Gobekli Tepe pillar 43, vulture stone.

The statues got tramp stamps!

We don’t know for a ‘fact’ they were carved to honour the ancestors because we don’t know for sure who carved them 😮😮😮

what's is most interesting about Easter Island are some of the platforms that the statues stand on. tight fitting polygonal masonry similar to places in Peru. Always thought that some study should be done into the similarities, as Peru is one of the closest mainland countries to EI.

The bird pictures look like the birds at Gobekli Tepe.

I will be interested to learn how many statues are carved on their backs. I know of only one. That there are more may help to flesh out the Birdman story.

When I see the moai and the bird men I see the longings of a trapped people to escape that tiny place. Watchers watching the sea. The essentially imprisoned population was without eventual access to wooden canoes as the forests were cut, and I can imagine they looked with envy at how the birds could come and go beyond the horizon and they could not follow; truly birds in their eyes were gods as the Birdman Cult. The Birdman Cult reminds me of the Ghost Dancers for a time endemic in the North American tribes in the late 1800's. Each doomed cult featured an almost painful wistfulness for better times. I don't think life on Easter Island can have been particularly pleasant. Diets were limited as the original settlers forgot to bring pigs (they did carry rats, which rapidly went to work on the vegetation and the birdlife!). What's more, the island has no reef or lagoon to provide easier access to fish and other seafood. The islanders had to develop a brine tolerance. All in all not the best place to settle! It must have gotten fairly claustrophobic and socially unstable there periodically.

The warning signs, they ignored? A target? These write themselves, without a ladder from no tree left standing.

If you look closely at the bottom right , it says MADE IN CHINA😅

makes me think they knew their civilization was going to flood. They built their statues to meet the coming wave on the front and the glory and hope of their people on the back. Two birds, male and female, holding up their progeny in hope they survive to give birth and continue society. After all, who would survive if the Earth would be swallowed up but those that flew?

I also believe that the Egyptian’s did the same thing on some of the structures they found. They put their own mark on it.

First thought seeing those carvings was the connection with gobleki tepe

Thanks for another great vid… Can u plse do a vid on the quarries at Easter island and in Egypt etc… these show hundreds of Moai statues at various stages of being carved out of the rock and similarly in Egypt and around the ancient world. I think careful and in depth vids about theses quarries would help answer a lot of questions people have about how these structures were most likely built …

What if the current theory (because that all it is) are all wrong? What if they were invaded like Aztecs or Inca? And wiped out by either conquest or disease?

at the end of the video on the bottom of the back of the moai 🗿 there is a symbol that looks like an m attached to a stick and I've seen that exact same symbol depicted somewhere else and I think it was in some sort of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics

? It's the sun on the horizon line. Stand face to face and the horizon is behind the eyes. Stand next to someone and the horizon is behind their shoulders. The horizon line drops lower the farther we move away from each other. Stand a distance where a person's head is the same size as the sun and the horizon line will be just behind the elbows where the Sphinx and the Mayan statues are resting. The shape of the Easter Island heads is a rectangle based on the angle of the sun or the tilt of Earth's axis. Their Ears are also showing the sun over the horizon reflecting its column of light below on the surface. This is the same as the ankh or the rectangle on the ears of the Mayans. This is also because when facing the noon sun the depiction of the low sun on the horizon with its column of light is only physically possible on our sides now East or West.

These statues are older than stated plus the bird carvings are astonishingly the same as the ones at gobekle tepe

for myself, I'm more inclined to say dragons, rather than birds, by checking out the head shape. Get to know your personal dragon, Roger Spur has a lot of information on dragons on his utube channel, Mudfossil University.
