I'm 18 months in already in the k1 process, I got a few more to go before my fiance has the visa on hand. This is the timeline for most people. I'm in a bunch of groups on Facebook and everyone is taking about 2 years
Thats true, I was aprove in 13 month when my procesing time was 15 months thank God. Then 3 month for Uscis to send the aproved papars to NVC and im still waiting to receive the welcome letter with the acces codes and numbers.
I got approved in 10 months K1 visa, I’m waiting for NVC, but I’m regretting of this process and the future long waiting for a green card instead of the CR1 spouse visa, is there any way to change it?
Question for people that are taking a long time, what country is the spouse in? Mine is in Indonesia and just curious if other countries take longer? Also if I get a lawyer to take care of everything will it be faster?
It makes me feel better to see other peoooe in the comments and all of us experiencing this at the same time, it makes me feel less alone and more supported 😅 just now starting the process or trying to start
Why can't the government just hire more staff to process these I-129f applications? Having to wait more than a year now is just ridiculous! It really shouldn't be this difficult for those going through this process the proper and legal way.
The issue is it’s almost impossible for the USA to know intent. There have been plenty of people who have gone through the “legal“ process and had a fraudulent mindset just to get into the United States. I can tell you that is the main reason they make it so difficult for everyone to hopefully weed out people with bad intentions
@@roberthoward7387 That's not relevant to the application time though... This is just more applications and the same amount or less staff processing applications.
Yep and that's only the first part, the part after the approval takes another 3-9 months to get to the interview depending on the beneficiaries embassy
I've been checking different sites that process these forms and the time seem to differ drastically depending on where you go, with California taking the longest at abiut 16.5 months. 🗿 Shortest wait was about 5.5-6.5 months iirc.
This used to be the average back in 2015 or pre-pandemic. My visa process took only 2.5 months and flew here to US at 3 months mark. I don't think there is as fast as that anymore recently. I made a video about my process if you want a reference.
The current wait time (till you hear back from USCIS for the first time) is 10 months. My K1 was received at the California center (longest average processing time). Overall, 13 months after filing, I received my visa.
Wrong it depends on where your processing is done in California it takes the longest and I think maybe in Texas or something like that mine was approved today but it took 11 months
if you come to the US and get married on a tourist visa then go back home and file for a spouse visa, can you still travel back and forth to the US on the tourist visa while it’s processing if you don’t plan to overstay?
My fiancée and I are 22 months in with the K1 visa process. We finally have our interview next month. These days the K1 visa and the marriage visa are about the same length of time.
I dnt know wat to think I married my wife in Uganda on feb 26 2021 started visa process on July 17 2021 I stayed in Uganda for 8 months then returned to Philadelphia now in Jan it will be 17months still no interview for my wife
Yes! The whole process takes more than 3 years. For some people, it makes sense to come illegally instead of having their family separated for that long.
Better not to have both bec of the backlog since 2022 were waiting for CR1 visa for almost 2 Years and 6months + 2yrs 1/2 LDR so what are waiting for guys ? your waiting for eternity
The problem is ..I didn't know about all this and we planned on marrying when he gets here and we've been together for a year .. and he comes this month..what then ?
Congrats! I just got engaged in Morocco two weeks ago. I plan on going back to get married under Moroccan law in 6 months. Afterwards I think K1 Visa might be my best option...but I'm not sure. I hope your situation works out for the best! Feel free to follow my journey!
What about with baby?American man wants both here. Better to fiancé with child or make wife with child? Either way we love one another and I want my family here.
6 months?! Maybe before the Covid but not anymore. Now in 3024, it’s taking somewhere between 18 months and 2 years from start to finish . Please update ur information guys and be patient , it does take a lonnnnng time 😕
My fiancé is in the Philippines. Should she fly here before the K-1 visa is completed I’m not sure how that works. I know we have to get married within 90 days of her getting here, but I’m confused on. Should she fly out here to America while the K-1 visa process is ongoing?
I'm a Filipina married to American National in my home country and we're applying for IR1 and our status now is AT NVC waiting for appointment interview at US embassy manila almost 3 months already. Why is it to slow?
my boyfriend and i are waiting for approval after sending in our 129f form… can we do anything while we wait ?? or are our next steps unavailable to begin until we are approved ?
Someone help me by answering this question....I have a girlfriend in mexico and I want to bring her to the u.s as soon as possible, she never been in the u.s and yes I'm a citizen of the u.s.......the question is how long will it take from the first day of the process -she's approved....thanks in advance
Bro there is a whole lot that you (petitioner) have to do..first file the 129f , pay the application fee, gather up all the necessary documents send them to USCIS and that's just the first step!..it's a life commitment..don't do it if you're not 100 percent all in ...good luck!
In situations whereby she came to Africa and we got married after 5years of dating later went back to the USA after one month. She came to Africa 3 different times before she passed. But she never file for the husband. What should I do to get my visa to the us
