I started to watch your videos a couple of years ago when I turned 18. I aged out of foster care and I did not know how to cook. I watched your videos to try to teach myself some recipes. Tonight I made those skewers and rice for dinner. I wish I could post a picture here on RU-vid because I was so proud of myself. BTW they were delicious. Thank you for sharing your recipes.
Ever since the pandemic, I really got into cooking and WFD videos, and I must say...out of the MANY channels that I subscribe to, yours is my absolute favorite. You create delicious, accessible and relatively easy meals. I've lurked for a while and just felt like now was the time to thank you for your content. I hope you and your family had a great vacation!
So excited to see you are back. You’re my favorite RU-vidr. Your videos are so soothing. You definitely should have millions of subscribers, you deserve it. Thank you for posting.
I really wanted to leave a comment to tell you how much I enjoyed this video, but a stupid pop up ad from Rocket Money is covering the comment block and I can’t seem to get rid of it! Anyway, these recipes will be on our table in the next two weeks. Thank you so much for the inspiration. The Hawaiian meatball skewers seemed especially unique, and as luck would have it Hannaford has ground beef on sale this week. Hoping you had a wonderful relaxing vacation!❤
Hey Kristin! I have been adding the Taco Bell mild sauce to my taco meat lately (along with my taco seasoning) and let me tell you, it's been a game changer. I recommend adding some for sure. Just be sure to taste as you add, so your meat doesn't get too salty. Wow those nachos are pretty! A tip for boiling the peaches - cut a little "x" on the bottom of the peaches so that you have an already-made corner to peel from. You can also do this for tomatoes.
I made a blackberry cobbler from my backyard blackberries this weekend. I basically used the same method you did with the cast iron skillet and butter but I got lazy and just poured a sprite into a box of cake mix for my batter. Worked out so good!
I was so glad to see you posted a new video. I was just looking at your channel yesterday because I hadn't seen you post in a while and I was worried. I hope yall had an amazing vacation! Also, it's not just you about the produce. Last week I bought 4 zucchini and a very expensive bag of cherries from Walmart and just 2 days later I went to get the zucchini out of the refrigerator and all 4 were slimy and rotten and the cherries had a layer of mold all over the bottom. I am VERY picky when I buy produce and I inspect it all very well so I know they were fine when I bought them. This has happened several times now and so I'm no longer buying produce there, I only get it at Sprouts. ANYWAY, so glad you're back
Walmart is definitely known to have SOME nice looking produce, but underneath the shine, the products are rotten and nasty. It’s happened to me several times, what you mentioned, and I’m talking all the Walmart’s I’ve shopped all the way from Northern Michigan straight through to Florida. At least one item is a loss every time I shop at a Walmart. I’m done and over them like you. Unfortunately we don’t have a Sprouts where I live, but we do have other options for getting nice fresh and healthy produce. For what it costs, wasting it is never appreciated. I’ll pay a little extra from here on out.
Thank you so much!! I’m sorry I worried you, there were several reason I couldn’t upload but all good reasons 💗 the produce available to me lately has really gone down hill, it’s so disappointing.
Your peach cobbler looks amazing! I don’t think I’ve ever tried one. Your video has inspired me to make one with all the fresh peaches currently in season in central California. I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for the content.
Wow, Kristin, they all looked so good. I'm writing down every single one. I hope you all had a wonderful vacation. Have a great new upcoming week, dear one.
Using a cookie scoop for the nacho toppings is such a good idea! I haven’t tried those tortilla chips but know exactly what you mean with thicker chips
Hi Kristin. You are the queen of “what’s for dinner “ . Those pork chops look so good and the kabobs look like they’re from a restaurant! I’m going to try them. Thanks for sharing. 🤗💕
Girl yes....I am with you on adding sour cream and cheese to refried beans.. It's soooo good. You should look up the recipe for Texas trash dip. It has taco seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, and cream cheese. You bake it in the oven, it's so good you would love it
It’s funny that you made those chicken sandwiches bc I just got the garlic Parmesan sauce with my grocery order so I could make it for dinner tonight 😅
I don’t know if you have it where you live, but the refried beans in the microwaveable pouch are really good. I like the Isadora brand. Check your Mexican foods aisle.
Those Isadora beans are AWESOME and the only ones I buy. They are inexpensive and have a good shelf life. I love the pouches because I can take out just what I need (like a small amount for breakfast tacos etc) and just fold down the top and store them in the fridge.
loved the vid! I especially want to try the rice casserole that you made and I haven't made a peach cobbler since my kids were little! I think it is time! thanks so much for sharing! all of the recipes looked awesome! but I am never disappointed with your vids! xoxo
All look delicious and easy to make. Must tries. I learned the hard way yesterday about a hot skillet. Not used to putting skillets in the oven. Blessings
Yay!!so great to see you.absolutely fantastic video and definitely delicious meals, recipes and ideas for dinner 😋 thank you so much for sharing your recipes 👍👍🤗💜 you're so amazing in the kitchen and I appreciate and look forward to seeing your videos ❤️ hv a great day and week you guys 😊❤😊❤
Hey Kristen. Your porkchop and gravy meal looked so good. I made your scratch gravy tonight with porkchops also with mini potatos and veggies. I've never made scratch gravy before. I was a little intimated at first, but it turned out. Dinner turned out delicious. Thanks 😊
Hi Kristin - I really enjoy your cooking videos, you are very creative, plus I love your beautiful Southern accent. I notice on American vlogs pieces of pork are referred to as "pork chops". Here in Australia we only call it a pork chop if it has a bone in it. Thankyou for all your ideas & wonderful recipes. Best wishes from Sydney Australia
Thank you for these AWESOME recipes. I loved the entire video and will be making every single one of these dishes. I’m so happy you and your family were able to get away for a nice vacation….but you were most definitely missed❣️ See you next time 😊
In our house we do nachos but we call it Grandma Opal's taco salad. But thank you cuz now imma add refried beans and guacamole 👍👍 more toppings cannot be bad 🤣🤣
Girl! You definitely know how to style a nacho meal! It looks like it is from a restaurant, only better! For your salad mix, I bet they included a little plastic sealed bag of 1 Tablespoon of bacon bits, right!? We had grilled thin pork chops tonight too! With garlic mashed potatoes, and sadly (a pork gravy from a package) and I put my cauliflower into the air fryer with some olive oil, salt and pepper. A great meal for a weeknight. Oh the meatball skewers!? need to try this recipe, it looks so good! And the peach cobbler? OMG, I'm drooling!
Im definitely making that peach cobbler! 😍 I live in a place called Chilton county, Alabama and we are known for out chilton county peaches. 🍑 So I cant wait to try this out with some of our fresh peaches. ❤
JUST WOW....my god those meatball skewers look devine :) I know my boys will love them so I'm making them...thank you nb I would have never thought of putting meatballs on skewers LOL
My Dad used to add a slice of cheese to dishes like Apple Pie and Cobblers along with the Ice Cream or Whipped Topping....I must say it was the perfect blend of taste 😁 I guess it was because he was from Hungary 🙂
I liked the fresh peaches better than canned BUT I love how much more syrupy the canned peaches make the whole dish when I use them so it’s really hard to say.
This is so fattening but we had a recipe that called for cream cheese added to the taco meat. We loved it and now we can’t eat it the regular way. Also it’s so addicting!
