Riley is soft, pure and simple. He’s supposed to be a QB guru, so why is Moss struggling? Why isn’t Jayden playing at this point? The whole situation is unacceptable and embarrassing.
Honestly from outside looking in the recruiting in Southern California is terrible. Mater dei, St. John bosco, centennial corona, olu, mission viejo etc is in your backyard you can literally make a super star team. The top teams and top recruits in the country is in your backyard you recruit everywhere except Cali is crazy. Trust me the usc coaches are barely at these schools. Oregon dan lanning and the coaching staff is at these schools. 7 kids from mater dei was at Oregon for the Ohio state game. Alabama just scooped four from mater dei. Just saying instead of recruiting everywhere else you need to lock down so cal first. The 6 trinity league teams is in the top 50 and mission viejo and Sierra canyon. Lockdown so cal first cause all the guys beating these teams is kids from so cal. Just saying
@@customvideos2025 Totally agree. Also, SC has to recruit a different style of athlete now that they’re in the Big 10. They need size. Honestly, there’s no way I’d go play for Riley if I was a 4-5 star recruit. His teams have never won shit. Kids want $$ and they want to play for winners.
If they cannot buy him out, then I just hope that somehow he miraculously humbles himself and starts coaching better. He crumbles in adversity and makes stupid decisions. His offense is made for a RPO QB, and Moss is not that. But that does not excuse the HC's weak mindset in crucial times in games.
Been waiting for this one. Respectful and accurate take on the ‘SC fiasco. Kudos. Riley’s sample was there with OU to review. ‘SC has too much $$ tied up with Riley to just fire him. Then again, I don’t know the ‘language’ in his contract. I don’t think any of us will know the truth. I feel bad for ‘SC fans. We’ve fallen a long way from the McKay/ Robinson/ Carroll eras. Cheers.
USC has no resemblance to the era of excellence and LegaSC because the existing leadership team at the USC Board of Directors, President Carol Folt, and the USC Alumni Association has no individual that is from USC. The USC Alumni Association was run by a UCLA grad (Patrick Auerbach) with Patrick resigning recently after having run USC Alumni for a long time, maybe five to ten years? Can't recall specifically. Neither Carol Folt, Mike Bohn (former USC AD), nor Jennifer Cohen (current AD) have any alumni ties to USC. Moreover, none have history at the university over decades. They did not support alumni, have not guided leadership to the benefit of alumni, and haven't interfaced with alumni with the exception of the appearance of some LegaSC players at recent home games in 2024 (including a 50th anniversary appearance of the 1974 USC national championship team and some of Pete Carroll's era champions on the field).
USC, Oklahoma, Nebraska, UCLA, Auburn, and Florida State were all premier programs back in the day....but today those programs are nowhere near the top 20, and are all in "a re-building phase". Sad, really.
There’s no mystery. Mike Bohn was the AD, and Brian Sosna engineered the deal. Riley was a hot commodity at another blue blood. USC didn’t have a ton of leverage.

LR is over-relying on the passing game (60/40 pass/run ratio). The running game is disappearing in the second half of games with the lead. No matter who the QB is, we need to be getting the backs more touches. This is USC. Run the ball!
FACTS - My rub with Riley is that he has not replaced Moss or inserted Maiava for any plays. He did the same thing with Grinch. Rilely is a defective coach and will not change.

I was called crazy by guys like Gabe from Trojan Blade and Marc Kulkin when I predicted in the summer that USC would start 3-3 and finish 6-6. Clay Helton is a far better coach for this conference. The schemes that Riley runs is far more suited for the Big 12. Riley left Oklahoma because they were headed to the SEC and he never would have come to USC had he known that they were headed to the BIG 10. Riley signed a 10 year 110M contract to come to USC. LA is overrated af and doesn’t suit Riley’s lifestyle.

Team is too small great teams have 10-15 guys over 300 pounds . We have maybe 2 now that bear has redshirted . Branch is the size of a good soccer player tiny . Coaches must be telling him to fair catch everything what’s the point in having him if those are the instructions
Riley needs to take a load off of Miller's plate. When a quarterback is struggling, especially in college you don't need him to be Payton Manning out there deciphering defenses defenses with multiple progression reads! Just make the play call for him using predetermined reads! That's what they would do with #14 anyway! Simplify everything like they do for Lamar Jackson and Baltimore!
