I visited Israel in October 2019, it was the greatest trip i have ever done. My tour guide was an arab Christian named Osama. He spoke five languages and explained the all the conflicts just as you have. I pray for all of you. Please keep up the great work.

I'm also German and stand with Israel ❤ I ended a friendship to a Muslim woman cause she was openly praying for the "destruction of Israelis". My family was scared something would happen to me, because of that, but so far I'm fine. I'm a bit wary of forming new friendships with muslims. The ones I've met have been very hateful.

My auntie was doing a final around the world trip (shes in her late 70s), we are from New Zealand - and her last stop was to visit Israel. Of course, on her last destination she was planning to visit, the missiles started to strike. Her and her friends were rushed by Israeli's into a bomb shelter, they were there for most of the day. They were treated so unbelievably well by the people of Israel. Once the first major attack started to die down, they were rushed to the Ben Gurion airport, where they escaped to England. All of the staff members at the place they were staying and at the airport were so amazingly brave, they were making sure absolutely every traveller would be okay. She hopes to return one day to see the West Wall and the City of David. She was about to before the strikes. I'm just so grateful she's okay! I hope to visit Israel one day and go to the place she stayed to thank the selfless people who looked after her so well during the attack.

I'm also a kiwi and jewish and it's simply horrific seeing what is going on in our country's media. I keep having to take down the lying posters people put over the kidnapped posters, and my brother and I were preparing to do our birthright trip to israel just before the war started. I now probably will never be able to go (I'm already 26 and it's the age cap) and my brother was going to be studying music in berlin on scholarship, but is now going to an australian academy instead as our parents have heard some scary things about jews in berlin recently. My heart breaks for Israel, and I hope both I and your aunt will be able to go there some day.

It's people like you who make me lose all hope. I want you 2 do 3 things, imagine the Palestinians are people, try finding their home country, and try imagining what will happen to them if they try going there right now. if you don't see any way for them to live as humans inside Gaza or West Bank, try finding a different country that would accept them. As a Christian I would like to apologize for the hate of the so called church. Not only for the maker of this video, but for all Jews. For ages so called Christians hated the Jews. I find that unbelievable, because true followers of Jesus should be a blessing to the Jews. I hope Christian Zionism helped a bit. I also like to share that I love your humour. It is very dumb humour and I love it 😂. I also want to share that you respectfully talked about Jesus and your thoughts on it. And very honest. I respect that. And I understand that ' in your face- gospel- spreading -Christians' can be annoying, just like an uninvited neighbour that wants to share a barbecue with you, without proper introduction or relationship whatsoever (and probably with pig on the menu). Personally I don't like that approach, because it revealed a hidden agenda and no true relationship. So we differ in our views about the Messiah, but I hope we Christians can become a blessing for the Jews for a change. Although I believe the work of the Messiah is not done jet, a lot of prophecies are becoming fullfilled. Lets agree to disagree. There is one God and we can agree on that and on His Name. I hope you read this message. I want to share that God has not forsaken you. I believe Isaiah 49, 55 and 66 are still really relevant and not all prophecies become fact jet, but they will. Just like Ezekiel 37 and 37, I believe that we live in a time these prophecies still are very relevant. Even Ezekiel 37 reminds me of the genocide of the Jews, but also the promise of your land in Isaiah. For now, I don't know if Zephaniah 2 is a prophecy that is relevant for today, but it has some similarities. I think a lot of prophecies you need to see like thru a telescope, some are fullfilled, some in part and some in a deeper sense. I believe one day the neighbours of the Jews will life in peace with Israel and Israel will be a blessing for the whole world. I think when Israel receives the blessing of Isaiah 55:1-3, which is still relevant I believe, Israel will become more and more a blessing. Can a woman give birth to a child before the contractions? I believe so and think Israel is in the mids of it. But don't forget that God has a plan with Zion and you are God's chosen people. God is one and His name is YHWH. I hope I might be your little brother some day. Till that day I try to be a blessing for Zion. God bless you.

I'd like to add to what you have written. First I'd like to say that my mother is Jewish but she converted to Catholicism for my father, who's grew up in SW Poland. He is from a multi-generational very devoted grass roots upper middle class Catholic family. He was a child when the Nazi's showed up on his front porch. His family hid Jews. They had to flee to the USA and leave everything and everyone they loved behind. I am deeply honored and blessed to be a part of that heritage and to know that our family has a tree in Yad Vashem - The Garden of the Righteous Among the Nations. The Jews are hated simply because they are still Elohim's chosen people. A promise is a promise. The Covenant & dedication of the temple via Solomon is sealed in smoke and glory. Through the Christ Christians are now "grafted into" the promises given to the Jews. Because of the tragedy and triumph of Calvary, Christ opened a door for the gentiles to enter into the same promises as the Jews. We are to "one body" with the Jews. We are to be abiding in All of Elohim's good common sense laws. Many Christians do not take this seriously enough and are engulfed in false doctrine much of it birthed by the early Catholic church like "Replacement Theology" and blaming Jews for the death of the Christ, which is utter insanity. Elohim has not nor will forsake His own! The darkness that is encroaching are indeed the birth pangs prior to the Mashiach's entrance through the East Gate, He will ride and utterly destroy Israel's enemies. This day is fast approaching. We know this because those who like the Spirit say "come" (Christ Return Home), experience the birth pangs. Until then prayer & unity in hope is essential. There exists a powerful repetitive prophecy that states the light of men will rise prior to Mashiach's returning to Earth of if Jewish coming to deliver them. The darkness refines the light and purifies it. It rises through it, despite it and because of it. May the God of Eternity wrap you & your loved ones in a veil of protection. @@jessea9491 He put up another video earlier explaining even more of the context than others, even past the 70 or so years these two nations have been at it. I don't see any reason for him to lie, but it does seem a little too one sided for me. If he is right, it notes Jews have been on these lands far longer than Palestinians. If you look at it from a modern context however, Palestine is a country and there are parts of it being occupied by Israel. The broader context notes how Muslim Arabs have invaded and taken control of those same areas but also for about as long as the Jews claimed them. This is a Jew vs Islam conflict no matter how you slice it.

I am German living in Berlin. I have been feeling so awful and worried and scared for the people in Israel. It is the absolute worst tragedy. I am a mother myself and thinking of the murdered and captured children makes me feel unimaginable horror. Of course I also worry about the Palestinian civilians and realise that there are mothers and children, there, too... but I feel like the world really isn't understanding what the Israelis went through and are still going through. I find the reporting on the destruction and human tragedy in Israel is extremely lacking. People do not really grasp the extent of this tragedy. They don't properly understand it. I think I know why the media coverage is so reserved. Maybe it has to be this way. But I feel it is a bit of an injustice towards the people who have experienced so much suffering. The Israelis deserve to be supported and empathised with in their awful situation. I think better media coverage would go a long way to making the world understand. I know most of the governments all over the world say they support Israel, but that doesn't help the Israelis at all. The hearts of the people seem to worry a lot more about Palestine. While that is an important issue, too, it still pains me so much to think of the Israelis and how isolated and alone they must feel (due to their geographic location and otherwise).

Shalom. As a Chinese who went to school in the states, I thank you for the videos you make. It's a funny situation back here--China has been rather right on the political spectrum for quite a long time, and after violence broke out in Xinjiang there has been a lot of hate towards muslims. What's funny is these days a lot of Chinese are hailing the Hamas as true warriors, turning a blind eye on what they'd done, and saying Israel brought this to itself. It's mind boggling how they are calling uighurs who killed Chinese people terrorists but refuse to call the Hamas the same. Some would even go as far to compare Israel to Japan, which colonized and brutally murdered tens of thousands of Chinese during WWII. This analogy is so out of range for anyone who cares to learn the basic facts of the Palestine-Israel conflict. Well, I guess it shouldn't be mind boggling given the disinformation coming from the top down. It's simply disheartening to see those of us Chinese who are trying to discuss facts getting ignored and this hate towards Israel (and jews--Chinese can be as islamophobic as antisemetic) gets the center stage. It's also disgusting to see people mindlessly jeering Israel for what it's been through. This is a moment where ignorance and sheer stupidity becomes despicable. To be clear, I've had close muslim friends from Pakistan, India, and Saudi Arabia, and they are great. But one thing that gave me perspective was when my Saudi friend told me as a woman she was not able to drive in Saudi. It's one thing learning all about how women cannot be educated in Iran from the news; it's another to have a real person who's clubbed with you and went to classes with you telling you this. Since then, the question I'd ask any nationalist group would be this: when you are saying you're fighting for your people, does that include women and queers? As a woman myself, this is the same question I'd ask the Hamas. I might not agree with everything you've shared with us so far due to different contexts and interpretation of the facts, but you've straightened up a lot of facts for me from an Israeli's perspective. One thing to me is clear: the founding of a state should not be upon the annihilation of another. I understand the hate from the Palestinians, and as a matter of fact, I believe many Israelis does so too. If one cares to do some research you'll find that many Israelis also disagree with Netanyahu's policies in Gaza. The Hamas has no excuse for committing slaughtering civilians, and what they are doing should never be faulted on the the Jewish people. This isn't retaliation. It is terrorism, measures so extreme from which no meaningful outcomes will ever emerge. My thoughts are with you and your people. Please know that despite all the hate jews are getting right now, there are still people who are doing their best to remain sane. God I hope those leaders do the same.

One thing you shouldn't forget, moorchan, there was a sizable and notable Jewish community in China, for 1000 years, Persian refugees from Kai-fung, Russians in Harbin and later, escapees from Germany in Shanghai. China has been home many peoples but we don't forget that we lived together long enough to be kind and respectful to each other.

Very good comment, and I agree with much of what you say. However, Israel has not been created on the annihilation of Palestine, which has never existed as its own self-governing, recognised country. The first 2-state partition plan offered 80% of the land to the Palestinians. The Jews accepted this desperate for a haven. The Palestinians rejected it, as they have every 2-state solution. And those Palestinians with property in Israel would have retained it and had full rights as Israeli citizens, as long as they recognised the State of Israel. The displacement of 700k Palestinians came after they attacked the newly declared Israel and then lost the Arab-Israeli War. To a large degree the Palestinians (certainly their leadership) are the architects of their own misfortune. It's a shame they seem unable to put aside their antisemitic ideology and be more pragmatic.

I need to share this heartwarming story with you. A Filipina nurse/caregiver was with her old Israeli patient. She heard the shooting outside and stood up to see what was happening and realized that the gunmen were killing the neighbors. She could have run away to save herself, but one thing was clear in her heart, she decided to stay with her old patient. She sat down and they held hands. They were killed together as friends and family.

However if the western powers, who enable Israel, truly believe that the Jews have a right to their 'homeland' then every single person in the US should leave and the Indigenous Indians take their land. On the news channels, they are under time constraints and generally the citizens are frequently interrupted. Israel will be ok. they're taking over more and more of the West Bank every day and if they keep going the elimination of a people will be accomplished and they will have the whole area to themselves. Let's not kid ourselves, it's what they've been pushing for for quite some time. The median age in Gaza is 18 so the situation will resolve itself on it's own., no worries there. Then, the only thing left to do is enjoy the isolation.

But there is a difference, even if we are totally weak and destroy our own economy and society, we are surrounded by friends, they possibly try to give us a good advice. In Israel showing some kind of weakness, this is something what the people/government/army can not afford.

You have the worlds sympathy for Oct 7th, But obviously given Israels genocidal intent, as expressed by many of Israels leaders, towards the Palestinians as a result, huge protests are rightly being staged around the world to stop Israels mass murder of cilivans, but we are unfortunately too late for the 1000 CHILDREN Israel has already slaughtered. Ive seen the pictures of featus ripped in 2 whilst inside their mother's womb from Israeli bombs. That is not self defence. There can be no moral or defence strategy achieved by blockading food, water, medicines and electricity, deliberately and callously turning Gaza into a concentration camp. I pray that Israel will find its humanity so instead of continuing down this monstrous path they work towards peace instead, but that won't happen until they honesty evaluate thier appalling behaviour of the Palestinian people over the last decades. This channel repeatedly tells us Arabs are violent, which apart from bring racist is also incredibly hypocritical when you look at Israels has treated Palestinians, gunning down unarmed Palestinians for simply asking for peace and equality leads to events like Oct 7th. Knowing how Israelis are coping with all of this, gives an insight into the strength of your people. My wife and I have worn Sderot pendants for many years now. We wear them every day and if asked about them, we say why we wear them. Hopefully it has made some people look for the truth about Israel and its legitimate place in the Middle East. Gabor Mate who wrote the best selling book "The Myth of Normal" and is a holocaust survivor was interviewed a few days ago about what is happening in Israel. He takes no side. He only wants the truth to be heard. I think there are truths on both sides. Too many lives lost. I did not know of the persecution and deaths of so many Palestinians in other countries in the middle east. So sad.

I recently heard a comment on social media about the Palestinians who escaped Gaza to get away from Hamas, yet now wherever they are they are protesting against Israel and supporting Hamas. For this very reason they should all be deported back to Gaza or wherever they came from. Oren, ever since I found your travel site last year and the fact you are also an historian, I have learned so much more about the raw beauty of your country, but most of all I am thankful to you for explaining historical facts. I have learned a vast amount of history about this region of the Middle East. I have been to Egypt and was hoping to see Israel, but for now I will have seen the beauty of it thru all your past travel videos. I am a 67 year old veteran of the US Air Force. For all of us older veterans that wish we were young again to go back in service, we can only offer our prayers and support of the active duty men and women in Israel and those on board the US ships that are there. The Hamas has blown up their own people with a IED (explosive charge) to stop the evacuation process. Only to generate death and create pictures to make propaganda. This people would have a much better life if they would go to Jordan. But Israel must help, they will possibly not be able to go this way if the Hamas is watching them. I wish Arabs and Jews only the best, but living together did not work very well for them and after 50 years they should see that there is no other solution. At the beginning it will be hard, but with time they will forget the problems they had. But right now the Arabic territory in Israel is a constant reason for clashes and it generate hate in the whole world. I think if the prison "Gaza" has been removed, then the negativity in this world is much less strong. Right now the Arabic countries tell their people that Israel is the reason for all of their problems, like we German did in the past. If they would invest more time in solving their real problems, they would be more successful.
