I start at the same school week after next. I'll be in the incoming class! I've toured other places in the area and honestly I feel like I don't even need to tour this one. But I do on Tuesday after labor day. I'm really excited about it. I'm also an "older" student. Also military veteran. I have been watching all your videos since they popped up suggested for the past week now. I'm so glad you are doing these. They are so helpful in helping me decide on schools and if I was going to go at all. Thank you!!

Thats smart what you did with the polish to identify your bag. When I was in nail tech school some girl grabbed my bag by mistake. They were all the time. I ended up getting a rolling case. But thats rly smart.

Hi did you take the 8 month course or 12 month course? Any recommendations for new enrollments?

He Angel. I’m took the 12 month course. Word to the wise. Take the 8 month program. There’s absolutely no need for you to take the 12 month course. It’s not worth the time or money. 1,000 hours/ 8months is all you need. Aveda is a great school, you’ll be more than ready with the 1,000 hour program. 💗

Thanks for the reply , my admissions person suggests the 1000 hr is only “valuable” in 3 states and that id need the 1500 if I wanted my license to be valid anywhere outside of tx , NC and somewhere else

i am from India i will just graduate in 2 months (commerce). i am thinking of going to a cosmetology school as i think this is my passion but there are no good cosmetology schools here. so is it worth coming all the way from India to join Aveda Institute. Also are there any pre requisite to get admission?

Hey Angel. Aveda is an amazing cosmetology school. I will admit but only you can determine if this passion of yours is worth coming here. I will say if you do decide to come here an attend Aveda you will get your monies worth. Ther are no prerequisites just an application process that you must past to enter. So this is what I’m learning. Aveda kits differ in each geographical area and they also depend on the hour required for your state. Reason being is each kit will be based on each states requirements for board. I hope this helps
