Dear Dr. Doty, as a low-income Brazilian mom still trying very hard to be able to walk away from an abusive marriage, who happens to speak English (and teach it to non-native speakers as second language), I want to thank you immensely for your book, Into The Magic Shop and for the way you tell about your childhood of appearent powerlessness and how Ruth's teachings helped you transition into a grown person of such great personal power. I am currently listening to the audiobook together with my 11-year-old daughter and my 19-year-old son. There are no words that can accurately express how grateful I am for the way you made your journey to be so relatable to young people. I thank you on behalf of myself and my children.
