Could the Patriots decide to take MHJ with their early pick and wait for a QB? It would give Bill a chance to take as sure of a pick as possible for a young QB.
Yes and there is a shot Zappe develops with a real guy like that. They built the team for who Mac was supposed to be, and he wasn't that guy. Zappe is a big arm downfield QB and he's doing pretty alright with a game manager's weapon set.
What’s more likely? The Patriots actually draft a player at #2 or trade out of that spot to get a bunch of 2nd and 3rd round picks which they use on players that are terrible and aren’t in the league after a year?
Chris, you don't think New England will go after a veteran QB like Flacco even if they draft a top QB prospect?? I think based on the Jets failures this year, they would be silly not to...
If the Bears are waiting to see how Justin Fields plays Sunday to decide if they're going to keep him, they would be idiots. He shouldn't even be playing in this game it has no purpose.
Stop with the Russel Wilson to the Steelers wet dream! It's not going to happen! You really want to put a 35 year old and 5'11" QB in the AFC North? At least Flacco is 6'6"! Wilson wont be able to see over the Oline, let alone the Dline! Send him to the Panthers, he can't be worst than Young! 😂😂😂😂
Bears-Packers is a rivalry where Green Bay has won the last 9, and 26 of the last 30. It isn't quite Jets-Patriots rivalry of 15 straight Patriots wins, but close.
Rich- your mention of “don’t disrespect Baltimore fans like that” comment is much appreciated and shows your deep knowledge and respect for a great football city. This 60 yo Baltimore fan is finally over the blue horseshoe, regretful for taking Browns, but also very happy for Flacco and Browns fans. If there is a football God, Ravens and Browns meet AFC championship.
As a Steelers fan, f- off with Russ in Pittsburgh. We've already got problems with a QB who bails from the pocket early and can't see plays developing in the middle of the field, we don't need another one that's 4x as expensive.
I always said Jimmy G would be back under center with the pats. Bills not done in NE either. He will retire with the organization. Jimmy would be a great mentor to a new draft pick. The GOAT taught him everything he knows minus how to get injuried. Go Pats!
Rich correctly sniffing out that it wasn’t “starter for their current team” (That said if the Browns could trade Deshaun and his mid at best ceiling and horrifying cap hit they should use Flacco while they reload, resign elsewhere on the roster and develop the next Franchise QB after the Space Shuttle Challenger Launch that was the failure of acquiring and signing Watson. The problem is who would be insane enough to trade even a 12 pack of Coke for Deshaun)
CJ Stroud is OROY. He lead a team who picked 2nd overall in the playoff hunt within the same year he was drafted. Puka is playing with a HOF QB and is playing against CB 2 because Kupp is on the other side
Puka came out of nowhere so his season is very impressive. And he made tough catches that takes legit talent. Not sure why you are bent on punishing him for who his teammates are. We could also say Stroud was only good because Tank Dell was good.
Cj stroud didn't do that. They also had Anderson the best de in the draft and made probably more offseason moves than any other team. Not to mention they play in a weak division.
when Kupp was out and Puka was WR1 getting all that CB1 attention he still went 39-501-1....in four games. Stroud has been incredible but QBs get sucked off enough in this league with no real consideration given to anyone else. Give OROY to the guy who, if he plays this weekend, will break the all time rookie receptions AND receiving yards records
Teams that would be better off with Joe Flacco at some point THIS season (helping a rookie, filling in due to injury, or taking over for a failed trade): - Cleveland - Arizona - Atlanta - Pittsburgh - Oakland - NJ Jets - Denver - LA Chargers - Cincinnati - Chicago - Carolina - Seattle - Tennesessee - Las Vegas That's nearly half the league that would probably have an additional win or 2 with Flacco filling in when needed. Given the value of an NFL franchise and how every single win costs tens of millions of dollars in spending, Flacco's veteran league minimum salary is justified in pretty much every scenario listed above.
Fans are chanting Justin Fields name: they should use their first round picks to take Harrison (receiver) and Left Tackle. Then continue to beef-up D-line, O-line in 2nd round. Imagine Fields with Moore, Harrison and better O-line.
Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. God bless! Jesus is the way and saves! Psalms 62✝🤍
Rice has more receptions, yards, and TDs than Flowers. Leads the league in YAC. Wild ignorant not to mention him for OROY voting. Chiefs discourse is unhinged.
Rich your right, Bellichec it seems is a lousy GM and can't make Roster better. If he was just.a Coach the team would be better or couldn't be any worse❤
Jimmy G will not be on another team after being cut because he is broken from all his injuries, both physically and mentally. He may get a shot mid-season somewhere when others get injured but dude is absolutely terrible now and won't have success
"Been there, done that"? If the money's right, maybe. I'd rather see him somewhere else, he'd be a good fit in Pittsburgh. Would be nice if he won the SB w/Cleveland first.
Just to add to this. Crazy things have happened. The Steelers come in as a 6th seed on the 05-06 season bracket, and won the SB, then two years later the Giants come in as a 5th seed and beat the Pats in a SB. So, yeah, 'what's more likely' bit is fun and all, but you just never know. And I'm sure I missed a few other times crazier things have happened. Still though, it is fun to think of the, what ifs.
Chris, that was a cheep shot! It’s the Baltimore RAVENS. It was NEVER the Baltimore Browns! Cleveland got their Browns! Baltimore should’ve gotten the Colts back but teams move and history changes GET OVER IT!
I'll admit I'm a Texans fan, but are we realy not going to acknowledge that Nacua is playing in a 17 game season when putting up these counting stats? The rookie record for receptions is Jaylen Waddle with 104 in 16 games, Nacua is at 101 in 16. The rookie record for yards is Bill Groman with 1473 (in 14 games!) Nacua is at 1445 after 16 games. Puka has been awesome but these rookie records falling are all based on number of games.
I'm not trying to rain on Russ, but I think he might be done starting games in the NFL... I have it on good authority from RE Consulting in association with Kurt Warner Enterprises that Russell Wilson simply does not see the field like a pro QB needs to anymore. Maybe as a backup?
No way is Flacco starting. He’s letting it all hang out. And playing decent this season. He’s also thrown a ton of picks. Good for him for giving Browns a better chance that Walker of DTR, but what he’s doing is being overblown.
Think if the Dolphins push Hill for that 248 yards and the record he may well end up back in a boot for the playoffs - records are nice, Superbowls are THE prize - never take your eyes off the prize.
@@itskelvinn kind of agree, but injuring Hill will guarantee that - I am more of an any given Sunday when it comes to wildcards, teams all fight 110% and there is always a chance of upsets or the occasional team that should win but don't show for the big light's. I actually think if the Bills make it into Wildcard they are the AFC team I would take to get to the SB, although I would like Ravens to get there to play my niners so we can have a rematch for it all.
Bucs fan here!!! I can almost guarantee they will lose to panther…. Dave canales wants to run the offense through a mid tier running game verse using the weapons that’s allowing big baler his best season
@@burgersworth4870Fair. And you said he'd look "average" which is different from saying he's bad. I don't disagree, but there are different kinds of average and he's the type of average the Browns need. Threatening the whole field opens up their run game. He's what the Browns need
