It could be the alcohols content. Chemical sunscreen of course contains alcohol, which is what makes it glide on line a dream etc. But for sensitive skin, this isn’t always ideal. Alcohol as well as fragrance/perfume is a known trigger when it comes to allergies, sensitivity and breakouts if certain skin types and skin conditions.
of the two of these i’ve tried… the centella one made me feel greasy and stung my eyes, my beauty of jonsen one feels moisturizing and just like my skin but a little more dew-y and it has never stung me even when it put it up directly next to my eyes. i definitely want to try some of these next tho!
I suggest you to try roundlab sunscreen... it's lightweight and also doesn't leave whitecast ... and best thing is it doesn't irritate eyes and is absolute best
As someone will Hella dry skin I love the round labs one and beauty of Joseon one, I’ve tried the Centella one and it’s works nicely for me but I haven’t repurchased since it’s not as hydrating as the other 2
My skin has extreme break outs with all the affordable western ones I tried (even formulations that are meant to be gentle like Simple with spf 15), so I tried Thank You Farmer Light Sun Essence initially as Soko Glam listed it as good for acne/oily and combination skin, and it worked so well, not breaking me out or anything, scent is pleasant and mild, and absorbed well into the skin without white cast or greasiness, but irritated my eyes if I applied it near. After running out and not using any for a while because it was expensive for small amount, I tried the Round Lab one after lots of research about whether it made people with skin very sensitive to spf break out and I tried it. Its perfect. Its repuation is so good for a reason. Can use this for multiple days without even washing it off with no breakouts, greasiness or blocked pores (obviously usually I do wash it off as if I shower at night I wash it off and use the moisturiser I use for the night time). It works as a moisturiser as well so no issues, even with around eye area. It was a toss up between getting that and getting the Beauty of Joseon one, and the Round Lab has been amazing so far, can't think of a reason to switch. Recommend it to everyone
I love Beauty of Joseon, it's the only one I can wear daily and it doesn't change my skin (doesn't make it red or flaky after daily use) HOWEVER it's way to glossy....
You mention something very important, that a lot of people don’t mention and its whether if stings your eyes. I’ve tried Dr G sunscreen and I like it, but it bothers my eyes so unfortunately I won’t be repurchasing. Thanks for the information.
I have the isntree one that you said hurts your eyes, for me it's really good but it leaves a white cast that's a bit hard to blend out (I have more tan skin)
am i the only person here who cannot wear boj because it will give me tiny bumps ... i've tried a lot of chemical sunscreen and i hate it !!! i love how lightweight and no white cast but i will have a lot of tiny bumps even tho i do double cleanse everyday, so physical sunscreen definitely for me, axis y all the wayyyy
I relate to this but with the round lab one 😭 idk what they put in their products but I had this same thing with the round lab cleanser so maybe there is just something they use my skin doesn’t like, have you tried any other boj products?
I use the Round Lab and it's amazing, definitely a popular product currently for a reason. I break out horribly with all the western sunscreen I've tried, but this one is light, scent is very mild and not unpleasant, non greasy, no white cast, and works as a moisturiser as well. Even times when I've not washed it off a few days in row, it's not made me break out.
i have the purpke isntree sunscreen(sample) and its SO GOOD i love it i will buy full size also i just bought the beauty of joseun sunscreen so ill update u!!
Whether these are the best ones for you depends on your skin type, skin condition and skin needs. Everyone has different skin. What works for you might not work for others and vice versa.
The Beauty of Joseon sunstick has a matte finish, besides that I'm not sure. The Cosrx Aloe Sunscreen wasn't that dewy for me at least but it wasn't entirely matte either.
BOJ makes my skin go slightly red on application and stings my eyes. Skin1004 burns if I went to hard on actives the day/night before. Scinic is greasy. Skin aqua Uv moisture gel. Is my favorite but it’s Japanese and they like to add alcohol to products.
What about their spf lab test report?? Are these sunscreen actuay spf 50 . After the purito scandal can even trust any of these until n unless they provide their lab test report in vivo or something else
