What’s The Best Rubber Hunting Boot? Lacrosse Alpha Burly Pro 1600g or Muck Arctic Ice

If you’re a stand hunter get yourself an IWOM suit . I hunt late season muzzleloader in Northern Maine and when I get to my Stand I take my boots off and wear a pair of slippers in my IWOM , -30 sit comfortable all day,

I tried the lacrosse 1600 and my feet froze from the ankle up at 10 above farenheit. If they insulated the rest of the boot with neoprene it would be a great boot. The arctic ice are made with a poor quality rubber I've seen 2 pairs owned by friends that ripped in half at the ankles under a year. The arctic pro is warmest and most durable rubber material I've used. So far 6 years later and they still are in decent shape. However working in 20 below weather they get cold muck and lacrosse need to design a boot like armys bunny vapor barrier boot.

I tried on a pair of Lacrosse boots today and it took 5 minutes of the sales person pulling with all there might to help get it off my foot, i thought i would have to cut them off... I wish i could find a boot that will work for me that was 100% waterproof that zipped up so that i could get them on and off.

Some friends have the Arctic Ice boots and they say they are very warm. They also said if you wear heavy socks their feet would sweat and they recommend wearing thinner socks.

Had a pair of mucks they were junk. Got holes in em so easily. Had a pair of dryshods since 2019 and my feet would get cold in them things Had a pair of lacrosse boots years ago and my feet never got cold in them. Just ordered another pair myself

I found the arctic pros at -40 below work nice with 2 pairs of socks on each foot. I wanna find a warmer model than the pros. I like the muck boot style. However I dont know how to tell what the warmest model is without buying every boot online just to see them in person

If you wear a half size like 10.5, should you size up or down when purchasing?

Arctic pro mucks are the best boot I’ve owned. I’ve warn them in -38 deg weather and killed a 170”buck. You wearing to heavy of socks with the mucks? They are meant to be warn with a medium sock. La crosse not so much they don’t hold up like mucks or as warm worst boot I’ve owned
