I have diesel soot on my hull. I can’t get it off with regular boat soap. Would I use spray nine in the whole hull to clean it off and can I apply a wax and polish by hand to reprotect the boat? I am completely new to this and before I do anything I would like to understand the process better so I do not mess it up. Thanks
@@michaelsredl7607 Diesel soot is always a no win scenario. You can use spray 9, degreaser, diluted Oxalic acid and then recoat with wax after you strip it off. You can also try Mary Kate Hull Cleaner before you wax it.
So my steps are correct: 1) apply spray nine (wipe off and rinse) 2) rinse boat down with boat soap 3) dry 4) hand apply wax with rag 4) wipe wax off with a new rag Just want to be exact and not mess it up and cost $$$. So thanks for bearing with me!
