You gave Eriksson all the space in the world, he just kept going In my eyes it's not a racing incident, just Eriksson barging his way through as if he owned the track as usual Edit: that goes for both incidents, he just drives as if you weren't there in both cases, even though he could see you both times

Kevin is at fault clearly! He is way to aggressive and he has always been a jerk in my opinion. And as far as respect you give other drivers respect and you wouldn't be driving in Nitro Rally Cross if others don't respect you. Keep drivvng like you do your a talented and exciting driver!

I love both you and Kevin. You both bring so much to the series! My take: the turn under the jump is at fault. It's always been trash and they still haven't addressed it yet. For the other incident, Kevin should have gave way. That's how the jokers work, even in the GRC days. However, spinning back on the track was your mistake. That's the single most dangerous thing you can do in any situation like that. Hopefully Kevin cools down because that was nothing short of a dive bomb from him.

There is a slightly right turn corner, the cars are left-hand-drive, Bakkerud has driven along the main track & ahead Kevin’s, Bakkerud is no possible to see Kevin from the right side behind.

I know I’m a bit biased due to being a bakkerud fan, but that was not bakkerud’s fault at all. I’ve seen a lot of rallycross, and the things being said about bakkerud are stupid.

In semi, you were on main course which means you have right of way, Kevin’s fault. When incident in final happened I noticed him hit your tire ( you were clearly door to door) and your car immediately turn into him, stewards got that wrong. Keep it up Snacks!!

Time for Kevin to actually take the blame for his own mistakes. I think the interview afterwards was a bad look, Andreas, bummed for the argument with Travis in the speakerbox. That's emotions i guess, coming in hot from the racetrack. Hope that WRX gets back on track, with even Andreas Eriksson saying that they need to include ICE cars in the top class again. Time to get the world title you deserve!🔥

Mate, the first incident I think he should have yielded, since he was coming out of the joker. The final just seemed weird to me... Maybe just a mass confusion with 4 cars going into the turn. I do want to add that I've been following you for a while and I know you aren't the type of guy to drive dirty, but I'm glad that you're trying to see this objectively and receive constructive criticism if there is any

Never take quotes from a racing driver who just crashed, it's natural to be hot headed in that situation, so I wouldn't put touch weight in his words tbh. First one is a racing incident for me, second one Kevin rotates into a space that's already occupied, not much you could do there 🤷🏼‍♂️

In my opinion Eriksson could have avoided contact in both situations. I don't think it's anyone's fault, but to know what's happing around you before turning a car is always a good idea. It looks like Eriksson wasn't aware of Bakkerud on the inside during the second incident. So I would call it race incident in both cases.

Lol scroll down on the Racer article and you'll see my comment! At first I was frustrated with the penalty, but thought it may be fair, but now seeing it slowed down with a much better angle, I think that penalty they gave you in race 1 is total BS! You can clearly see that Kevin initiates contact, your car turns sharp to the left because the wheel was ripped from your hand, and that there's no way you intentionally drove him up the bank. Maybe if Kevin learned how to use his mirrors, he wouldn't have had the crazy ride up the berm like he did. You earned that P3, and I'm pissed now that another podium was taken from you! Ugh. As for your comments about the elctric racecars, I do agree. I think Nitrocross is trying to say "well, if we're forced to do electric we'll do it as crazy as possible", but these cars don't excite me like the Focus RS RX or the Audi or the Subarus. Heck, even the Beatles were cooler. I wish there was an alternative out there, because I love rallycross, but WRX is a bore now (they're using RX2 cars for crying out loud!) and Nitrocross is super chaotic. Which can be fun, but also frustrating to see the best drivers not be rewarded for their speed.

First contact was rallycross, bit more on Kevin. Can see why he was annoyed coming out the dust. Final was a bit of a send but that's Nitro, Kevin definitely making a lot of it. I say fuck off the top class and go for the new Next car, proper engines but still wild tracks and Nitro looks like a party.

I dont watch alot of rallycross but i've done ALOT of karting (great friends with your buddy's Tommy and Glenn) Case one, you leave more then enough space for Kevin, he should be the one breaking. He would never make that corner if you where not there... Case two, has Kevin made a race in some type of racing before? He leaves the door completly open for you to make a move. That was not even a late move, it was a normal overtake and he rams in to your side. I really hope the judges ruled in your favor in both cases!
@edugj23

All normal, side-by-side racing, no fault to deal. However, can't forget 2 things can't occupy the same space, right? He could've been aware that the spaces he wanted were already taken.

I don't know what's happening in racing recently, with so many penalities being handed out before investigations happen... or at least it feels like it. First incident: 100% his fault. You were setup on the inside of the track for the next corner to defend it. He just drove through you, then because of the impact you messes up your line, and car. Thus causing the spin. Second incident: When I first saw it, I agreed with the penalty. It looks like you do drove him up the banking. But, some of those angles I didn't see in the replays/broadcast - and with the extra information from the V-box and you explaining about the power steering going haywire, that was a not fault crash. It was just a racing incident, which happen.

Hey Andreas, I haven't had time to watch the race yet, but It's clear to me Eriksson was in the wrong here, those in the main track have the right of way and on top of that you were in front of him, I don't understand how he can say things like that about you. An then again on the second collision he should be able to see you, you were right next to him and he turned into you knowing full well how these cars have had issues in the past with the wheels being his and things going sideways fast, yet he did it anyway. I've not really liked Kevin's attitude, not last year and not this year, hes like a bull in a china shop in these incidents, this doesn't look like "rubbing is racing" to me. Keep up the good work, see you at Calgary!

My opinion, it was a racing incident which in rallycross, rubing's racing, even more so in rallycross being an unofficial contact motorsport. Kevin was also in the wrong place at the time and with both of you fighting 1000 horses into a corner, somethings gotta give. Andreas, maybe handling these situations more maturely and not show it in public especially in your career. Being a long time follower of Bakkerud Life, but since Nitrocross, you get outraged more often. Stay true to yourself and stay cool 😎

I'm surprised Kevin didn't take any responsibility for the first incident, he was clearly behind and had plenty of time to react. Accusing you of spinning after he made contact and tipped you in was a bit rich. In the second incident, it is good you included data to prove you were in control. But it was naive of Kevin to think there was a spot there knowing he was in traffic, does this series not allow spotters? Regardless it was a racing incident, but Kevin was a bit foolish and you had nowhere to go.

I will say, all the times I hear Kevin complaining about other drivers, the man just seems a little rude. He blames everyone else first and foremost. While the second crash is harder to get a read on, just watching the first crash, Kevin came into the corner too fast and too wide. To my knowledge Joker is supposed to give way to the main lap, so it seems like a pretty cut and dry case in that regard; Kevin is at fault. Trying to blame you for how you spun out after he crashed into you also seems like he’s just trying to distract from himself and pass the blame.
