I just went to TS today and got a kit for my 7000 series. $70+tax for 2qt 10w-30, 2spark plugs, oil, air and fuel filter.. they had the 300 kit (2qt, oil filter) for $60. For me it was a no brainier! (Only here looking up to see if I was wrong lol)
If you look up “Kohler Oil 300 Hour Kit Podcast” (yes that’s a real video!) you’ll see around the 27 minute mark they have both filters cut open. Standard is paper, the 300 is deeper, glass media and more dirt holding capacity
Super video and topic. I would go with a regular 100 hour service interval. So many other things needs attention every 100 hours - this for most wont be done unless the machine is in a shop - like belt and tensioner check, greasing, blades, air filter etc.
I agree with you 100%. This particular customer has me do everything when he brings it in at the end of the season new belts, new battery, and whatever else I think it might need to make it through the cutting season. Thanks for watching👍🏻
Hey Tom , I think that is kind excessive . I would love to see the filters cut in half and see if there is any difference . But I guess if the customer is willing to pay that !!!
