As far as I know, the price tag of the triplex that went up for sale for 250 M has been reduced to 200 M. This, however, seems to be the duplex that is right below the triplex.
@@erikvanconover wish I had your confidence in a phone grip lol - I use strap on my phone if I photoshoot or video something out of 11th floor window of my apartment building.
They say money can't buy you happiness but good lord, I know with the way I love New York, I would be smiling a whole lot of the time living here!!! Thank you so much for showing me this amazing NYC luxury.
This penthouse is stunning, but so impractical. I love how you captured the window cleaners from your POV and with the drone. You're looking fabulous as always, Erik.
Too many tight, closed spaces, corridors and doors for such a large apartment. Poorly designed. The view might be impressive, but layout of the apartment isn't.
I agree. I don't know exactly how these ultra wealthy types live, but I imagine they don't have very many people in the household and then you want open and varied spaces so you're not just running around like a rat in a maze.
I mean I would love to buy it if I was billionaire, but honestly, as another youtuber put it, when analyzing this unit or a very similar one, it's just so high that when you sit down in your couch you don't see anything but the sky, no city, no central park, just the sky, you proved it at 6:40 despite your best efforts to sell it. But to be honest, if I was a billionaire I would buy an incredible mansion 5 times the size, with gardens, private pool and god knows what else for the same price, not an apartment. Then again NYC folk love to justify the idea of living like dogs in a kennel, even the billionaires it seems. EDIT: credits where its due, you did an awesome job showing everything the building has to offer, not just the unit.
That is just too high up in the air and too slender for me. If it was 50 times wider and longer I could live at that height. I'm sorry, but after 9/11 I've been uncomfortable being that high up. Great video nonetheless.
There are a lot of bedrooms but they seem really small, this whole apartment or penthouse, whatever you want to call it is completely unnecessary. I can't imagine anyone no matter how rich buying this.
@@erikvanconover I disagree billionaires like to earn profit with their money. With this they would lose money on the value and have high mainenance costs. Better to invest 130 million at the stock market, in crypto or start ups and use the 20 million that are left to buy a better apartment in an older building. Like 1 Central Park S #1801 for 15 million has much more charme and imho better park views.
NYC luxury buildings waste a lot of money in hallways... There are better ways to distribute space. Quality finishes but not a lot of taste in how to combine them. However I love the format of your videos, it would be awesome to see you explore buildings by architects like Neutra, Beckhoff, Mies, Foster, etc. Not only in USA, you'd be surprise on how many amazing buildings there are arround the world 😁👌
Interesting, but l'd rather live in the Dakota, or some other historic building facing the park. Besides, after 9/11, buildings that tall make me nervous.
Same here. A nice 5-10 million 4-5 bed apartment in a historic building would be far more fun and leaves a lot of money for other houses, planes, cars and years of spending money.
I hope that those people who risk their lives cleaning the windows of these buildings are paid fairly. I couldn't do that, I fainted before I got that far. In any case, this penthouse is spectacular. How much will the annual taxes be for such a place?
So scary to see that none of all this has ever been used. Even the restaurant seemed like there’s never been somebody there except the cleaners. Just crazy
I didnt realize at first that this is the apartment right below the top one. As soon as I saw the decorations were different I was like "Uh, why did they change it?" lol
Beautiful 😍 handsome suit, you belong there Erik. I see you have a new buddy, Dylan, the window dressing. What I don't care for, other than the height. Is the small single doors that open of the entrance hall and the ones into the guest rooms. Should be more grand and spectacular. Otherwise great spaces and amenities. Bro you are amazing!!!
17:45 takeaway of this video (if you paid attention and counted one plus one together): don't go into this pool! (why, you might ask; well, kettlebells and glass windows don't mix well together 😂)
For less than 10% of the price, you could own a large historic castle in Europe surrounded by a huge parc, with your own river and forrest maybe. A nice and quiet place to raise your children or to retire. This 150 M$ flat on Billionaire's row will probably remain empty forever, purchased as an investment by some wealthy Middle-East guy who will spend no more than a weekend there every year.
Dude - everytime I see a video by Erik - I am like yes! I saw Serhants video for "The One Above All Else" and thought - Id love to see Conover do this! I saw they dropped the price!!
Love the street to penthouse voyage, it was an immersive experience. That double breasted suit is tayloreddd and compliments the property well. But realistically.. Investors need to consider how many people actually has the money(probability) to buy this. Likely to remain unsold for a while. 50M if they’re lucky. The height is great but the layout/scale is off.
You can find higher-quality properties with superior finishes in the 10-20 million range in Mallorca. At that price point, they should have opted for the best brand of appliances available, even though Miele is excellent.
Erik, I've been following you for years! Those apartments are very expensive, bro! They've already lowered the price to 150 million! Blessings 🙏 Venezuela in the building 🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪
From what I understand is a lot of these places aren't selling even after huge price decreases. And even the one's sold, many places aren't being lived in. I can't imagine any of these places are holding their supposed value. Haven't they found some major issues with these buildings and there construction, lots of noises and swaying.
Is it a guest wing or the security wing? Anyone who can afford a house this expensive has a team of at least 4 security personnel on full time rotation. Also explains why it's tucked away.
Isn't this the type of thing that you would rent? If you were a billionaire. It doesn't have any out space and it has too much bling inside and some tight spaces.
This apartment and “The One” in California should win the award for biggest price cuts on earth, lol. Kinda makes you wonder, if it went from 250M to 150M in such a short time, is it maybe worth even less? They’ve resorted to selling the building amenities now, pretty desperate if you ask me.
No one wants to buy this penthouse I remember it was listed for 250 million $ and now is discounted to 150 million $ it’s a pretty big jump 😮😮😮 And the kitchen is small and confined for the price pretty useless 👎
@@bpdbhp1632There’s a CBS video of it, where they invited a journalist to showcase the property. Inside the penthouse there was a high pitched sound coming from the windows.
