I love that sound..I grew up in California High Desert are in the 70’s and early 80’s, and and before the housing boom and more roads..the mornings at sunrise, you could feel the sun rise and it was so quiet that your breathing was the loudest sound…so I would hold my breath as long as I could just to listen to silence…I miss that!!! I wife grew up in LA she can’t sleep without sound.
Beautiful in Spring and Fall, but you couldn't pay me to stand out there in Winter, and I doubt the summer heat is fun either. The interior is outstanding and reflects so much of the 1920's. It's art. So sad that we lost this style of architecture. Today we build what I'd call 21st century Parking Garage.
Surely they could lower it to 50 dollars a night, and fill up all the rooms and still make bank. I stayed at a similar room in Osaka with my daughter and paid about 20 dollars per night. There were A LOT of homeless staying there, like permanently. We stayed there for 1 week and only slept there.id winter there are still roaches. Comes with a can of bug spray to fend them off. Bring your own disposable sheets and best to dispose of your luggage after using it as well incase anything tried to hitchhike with you.
Not my taste internally but those outside spaces are stunning. Personally i prefer modern and more open properties. You ould need to spend another fortune decorating that place.
