My friend and I just went in on 8 bottles of 1792 Small Batch at a store offering a crazy rebate. The bottles were $14.95 + tax. Can't beat that with a stick!
I resemble that remark! Also, like the Old Forrester 86 and Elijah Craig 94 proof. Too many bourbons are too damn expensive to drink often. I like the '5 Bourbons You Need' vids.

I only have Small Batch and Full Proof to join in with in the tasting. I didn’t do mine blind but would rate them Full Proof over the Small Batch but that’s just my profile preference right now. I’ve been really enjoying the higher spiciness lately. The Small Batch is absolutely no slouch IMO.

Convinced me to order Small Batch over here in UK, as it seems to do well in all your episodes. Wow, so easy to drink, well balanced. In the £30 price bracket, only Eagle Rare comes close.
Just finishing a store pick 1792 Full Proof and the nose is Pink Bubble Gum Dust From Old School Beseball Cards and Red Vines!! Love 1792 for the diverse nose and flavor profiles through their series. You guys are GREAT As Always!!🥃👊🏋️♂️
Found some real inexpensive full proof while on vacay. When I got back home all I could find was a small batch. While it lack that punch of full proof, it still beats your run of the mill whiskey especially at that price point. Best bang for your buck hands down. But if you can find it and have the cash, full proof is definitely the way to go.
Early Times comes in a full liter (still better value), so I'm very grateful that you guys raved about it because it's now my daily drinker... However, That 1792 small batch may have to be thrown into the rotation a little more often. Love the content.
@@plr985 it is overlooked. And even when it does get attention, it's very polarizing. Plenty of people don't like 1792 at all (🙋🏼♂️) and I am one of them.
@@trackvol To each its own... I find it interesting those that don't like it and then realize pours like Sam Houston 14 is sourced from them. They actually do a lot of sourcing nowadays
@@plr985 Good to know. I haven't had a bottle of Sam Houston yet. Almost bought a bottle in NYC recently for $125 but decided to pass. Glad I did! I would have been so angry if I bought it, didn't like it, and later found out it was 1792/Barton juice inside.
I've been getting 1792 full proof store picks for 42.99. I have two of them and 3 regular full proofs. I also have a bottled in bond store pick. My area is always flooded with 1792 full proof and Im extremely thankful. We don't see anything from Buffalo Trace but we get alot of 1792
I just blinded small batch and a single barrel. The single barrel won but honestly I thought they were reversed and I was bummed since I spent more on the single. I was delighted when I saw the results.
First bottle of 1792 I bought was full proof, loved it, 6 yo 8 months later it won whiskey of the year. 2nd bottle I bought was small batch, loved it. I believe you boys picked the correct order.
I've been telling all my friends who even occasionally drink bourbon that they should get some 1792 small batch. It's my favorite for a cheap everyday.
Thanks guys. The first time I tried small batch I loved it. Then I heard the hype around the other ones, tried them all, and still like small batch better. I thought there was something wrong with my taster but it always goes back to - drink what you love - doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
Was at my local liquor store today and they have the Small Batch on sale for $29.99 (normally $35) and had to pick up a bottle. I’m excited to give it a try!
The twelve year is also really good but I do like the single. I got nothing extra from the full proof. No more depth then the single barrel just more proof.
It’s March 2024 and I have never had any 1792. I am in a raffle Saturday and they will have the following 1792 offerings: Full Proof, Single Barrel, Sweet Wheat, Aged Twelve Year, and Bottled in Bond. I’m hoping for the Aged Twelve Year, then Full Proof, then BiB. 🤞🏻

Lol great video, don’t you love it when your last place guess ends up in first place? I’ve only tried one of these, a Full Proof store pick, it was delicious, albeit not complex just a sweetness bomb. Now I gotta get small batch. Barton bourbons are underrated I think, the Very Old Barton 100 proof is also delicious as you guys have said before.
Dan's new haircut is very Richard Gere style...I have been there for a couple years thought lol. Also, this just brings me back to the buffalo trace mashbill #2 video where blantons crushed the others (exaggeration there), but still won! Blind is the way to go...always. What about Bottled in Bond Single Barrel? I've got a store pick that is killer. Had to go back and get a second bottle. Very heavily ethanol forward on the neck pour. A little SJ and it opens up like a $20 escort.

I watched this video right after your Hi v Bye blind of Early Times BIB, and now I want to know what a blind of 1792 Small Batch, Old Early Times, and new Early Times would look like? Especially since you were flapping your gums about Barton just poring 1792 into a ET BIB bottle!
New York City food critics - when presented with different types of water (tap, purified, distilled, spring, etc) will notoriously pick tap water. Sometimes the taste of home just wins out... (I promise you I cannot find the video of this online so just file this as anecdotal evidence).
This just came up on my feed after coming home with 4 bottles of Costco Kirkland Barton 1792 Small Batch ($23/1L btl - batch 1124). Need to know what you guys think. Maybe blind it against it’s big sister 1792 small batch. I personally think the Kirkland is better but you are the ones with you +72k subscribers 😉
