This was me in like game 5 when i first started. This guy is flicking his mouse for the sake of the video. Skipped a lot of ore at the start. Wasted time before wave starts. Also using Deepcore which sucks. Cryo nades are a waste, considering slow can make more of a difference solo.
I just started watching the video, but already that supply pod on the dreadnaught was stylish AF. I've been enjoying these class showcases so far, really clean gameplay.
Yeah he is quite possibly the greatest, but I mean come on, he is pretty flashy, destroying your tendons to do things slightly faster isn't really about efficiency. I love his dedication but I am actually kinda concerned.
@@bp6480 what I was trying to say is that he ends up doing way more repetitive movements to complete a mission than the average person, and considering how much he plays per day that leads to tendinitis. Same thing happened to me, I just hope he remembers to take some rest and slow down from time to time.
I honestly got rather annoyed by the first few minutes. Too much faffing about. Why tickle a Praetorian a little, then run away and do some other thing, tickle it again later, then ignore it again? That's not efficient. I just noticed I have 2008 finished missions as Scout.. Hmmmmm, now there's an idea.
I stopped playing deep rock for about a year after elites were added and came back a couple months ago. After spending some time on scout I'd started to feel the G2K was finally completely obsolete, but that anti dread build has me feeling a certain kind of way... guess I can't give up on it yet.
Gk2 doesnt feel awful, as a newer player myself 😁 Especially with twitching issues, it feels more forgiving than missing a charged shot with the m because of it 🥲
It’s bad? I think it’s the best option out of all scout guns. I melt bugs with it. I started playing about a week ago. I’d say the M1000 is about the same or maybe a little better, hard to say.as for the plasma rifle, I don’t like it at all.
As a scout enjoyer, this was a treat to watch. Lot's of things to learn from your gameplay and potentially make use of in future missions. Keep it up, rock and stone!
i just found this game, i play it slower, lower, and mroe relaxed. engineer is by far my fav so far. havnt played scout yet. but loving this game so far.
Cryo Grenades + Drak with Overturned Particle Accelerator for almost double damage + Zhukovs with Cryo Minelets for 3x damage and excellent cc and cheesing difficult enemies is my favorite way to play scout. There's nothing the drak can't kill in 3 seconds that's frozen except oppressors 😎 Wardens, brood nexus, praetorians, oppressors, hordes whatever and especially spit ballers all become super easy to deal with. I swear it takes like 20 out of your 850 ammo to freeze a warden or spitballer they don't become treats for your team anymore.
Id love to know what sound settings you use! I'm not sure if its just me, but thr noises in your videos are always so much more alive than the noises in my game
you know I meant to try using bosco for electrocution to activate magnetic shaft. I wasn't sure how practical it would be but seeing this: practical enough I guess. thanks for the great content as always!
This video series should really be called "Why solo is easier than playing with randoms", especially showing how you can get away with ammo when theres no teammates leeching your resources
wow, insane gameplay. I just started playing this game 3 weeks ago and can barely find my way, was always confused about how fast veteran players were completing objectives. Now I know how that looks like, thanks, really satisfying.
So serious question: I've always thought "It's a bug thing" perk was kinda viewed as a gag perk, but here's Axis running it and it's making me reconsider. Is he running it just to prove it can be done without optimizing perks? Or do people legit run "It's a bug thing"?
I can't really speak for Axis here but I'm fairly certain It's a Bug Thing is being run for the meme. I don't know if anyone runs it legit since it is mostly just a gag perk. Imo the only two perks you would really need to run are Resupplier and Born Ready (except not Born Ready for Driller), although he has Thorns here instead of Born Ready. From there the last slot is sort of flex so having It's a Bug Thing is whatever.
Resupplier is the only perk i would never take off as it is so damn good compared to the rest there is no competition, i use Its a bug thing on scout only because i may be moving a lot and probably passing around lootbugs anyways but yeah there is no reason to use it other than for the funny
Yeah escorts solo are just painful. Inherently bad cause you're bogged down by doretta and can't leave her alone. Even if realistically she can tank far more damage than people think.
I've been playing for about two weeks now and have watched so many of your videos already and I want you to know you've helped me actually enjoy this game. I was curious though I noticed you put your pickaxe away instead of just holding it. Is that actually faster than the animation?
Animation canceling. There's 2 parts to the pickaxe. 1.) Swinging before the hit 2.) Retracting the pickaxe after the hit That small animation of pulling the pickaxe back after swinging can be cancelled if you let go of the pickaxe button. If you immediately press that button again to start up the swing, you're basically mining while cutting off the end lag of each swing. Same concept when he's animation cancelling to deposit minerals faster
hmm I remember asking about this kind of video in a stream and he said he wasn't in favor. Glad to see he has changes his mind. Awesome high level gameplay.
Glad to see I’m not the only one who runs the hipfire m1000, I played tons of CSGO and R6Seige back in the day so I can almost always headshot grunts, so it’s still an instakill even at high fire rate
yea, you'll have to check the rest of the channel Even if you don't find a specific answer to what you're looking for, you'll undoubtedly learn some trick from this guy.
The pickaxe cancel is pretty easy to learn, you just need to let go of right click as soon as you hear the TINK. You'll get used to the timing. Keep in mind, once you start pickaxe canceling you'll never go back, it will give you carpal tunnel, and saves about 5% of the mining time.
Tô use pickaxe cancel you use your pickaxe again, to use animation cancel in depositing you use your pickaxe again, to cancel reload animation you use your pickaxe again.
Why use the T1 colling mod instead of the ROF one? isnt it working against agressive venting making the gun take longer to overheat? Great video as always, I was waiting for this one for some time lol
not sure if haz 5 or haz 4... hard to tell and I'm only a greenbeard. got scout promoted recently though so it feels like a fitting first video to be watching in the series!
btw... u had me rolling when u said "at least, how effectively I can flail around until everything dies" cause I've done that before fighting arbalest and lacerator
I feel guilty playing Scout because I play like this and feel like it's not enjoying the game to its fullest. But when I play any other class I feel incapable so I can't help but going back to Scout...
I'm so mad... I've been mining the oil shale before picking it up this whole time. Probably hours of my life wasted. Lol. This is what I get for always playing solo
I love how guns in this game nicely working together....with an assault rifle you have a decent damage, decent rate of fire and quite fast reload, but you lacking big boom for bigger targets, so you have double barrel shotgun...with m1000 you have high damage, small magazine, long reload, strong recoil and low rate of fire - so you have double smg which will get empty faster than mug with beer in a hands of a thirsty dwarf, and with plasma rifle you have decent damage, very good rate of fire, but again missing big boom for big targets, so you have a crossbow which pretty much deletes everything big that is not a boss
Spam your deposit and pickaxe buttons, you want to deposit and cancel the deposit with your pickaxe multiple times as fast as you can. If you take a look at the minerals bar while depositing, you will see that the bar goes down fixed amounts in intervals, so by canceling it and depoisting again you can skip those intervals and just deposit as fast as you can spam those buttons.
Any particular reason to ignore the free cosmetic from the box on last stage?? Good gameplay overall, just think you had some poor decisions on the last game like not using pheromone arrows on big meat chunks or not using freeze grenades in better places. That being said, well played miner. Rock and stone.
Yes, on the screen where you pick up skills and unlock skillpoints, you have a category to check out every stats for missions completion per character, with mission types, secondary objectives, assignement objectives and all
Welp Axis, i would like to know which one of these build you prefer ? I was not a huge fan of the drak at first but after having some oc Like Agressive venting and ricochet, it seems to me to be the more efficient.
Honestly i don't like these ones so much since i have the "Thermal Exhaust Feedback". It can show to be very strong with the right upgrades. The only real draback is that you have some cooldown after overheating, but imo it's pretty ammo efficient, because you deal great damages after reaching 50% heating, and you can burn things pretty easily! Also i used "Overtuned Particle Accelerator" before having this one, it's pretty cool as well, the dps increase is really nice. But yeah, bigger drawbacks of course. Accuracy sucks and you have less ammos, so not the best pick overall, but still nice having + 8 damages per shot.
Basically yes, though it’s possible to do it too fast and end up not throwing the grenade at all. Easiest way to practice is to load in as driller and practice throwing axes into the wall to get a feel for it. Driller also gets the best use out of it with axe canceling
