Limited is permanent 4wheel drive. Dial for 4h and 4l. Also the only trim you can find on lot out here in AZ, the others being scooped up while in transit. I think a lot of people looking to avoid a turbo 4

Yep they are gonna go fast. Many people see how crazy the tacoma price got and expect the same with the 4 runner.

Good stuff. Thanks for putting this together. One interesting thing you left out is the 4-wheel drive engagement differences between SR5 and TRD series (knobs vs a lever).

Never drove an sr5 to know it was even different. Have drove many trd off roads (and own a trd off road) and trd pro. Appreciate the info that the shifter is different is the sr5. I always figured all 4 runners were manual transfer case selector.

You are doing a good job, Jason. You are putting out some very informative videos and I enjoy watching them. And I totally agree on the 4 Runner. I’ve owned mine for about a month now (an 2024 Limited) and loving it more every day. You can feel the quality. I’m afraid the 2025 will follow the same road as the new Tacomas and Tundras. More plastic and a lesser quality engine. Not for me.

Yeah they fucked up the new 4Runner I can't believe it If you want one you better get it now That's why I went and bought my Tacoma before they screwed the pooch on that one... The exact truck you got is the one I get I just wouldn't get the premium package personally but that's for your wife so that's understandable. I run Carhartt seat covers so I don't care cloth or leather. Don't need fancy bullshit 😂 good stuff Jason! God bless you & your wife

Agree 100% on all of it! we dont have the premium. for the same reason you mentioned. I do not like leather seats and saved a ton of money getting a non premium. God bless you and yours as well.

A little thing Toyota will not tell you is a Trd pro comes with back up sonar and automatic headlights and auto climate control where it is not available on Trd off road premium I believe all come with heated steering wheel as options

On the TRD off-road Tacoma & pro the rear end is at 8.75" rear end where the non-locking differential is a 8-in rear end... I wonder if they do that on the TRD pro 4Runner also 🤔 so not only do you get a LOCKING diff but you get a much stronger diff..

Not sure. But the trd pro would have the same rear end as the trd offroad in the 4 runner too as they both have locker, mts and crawl.

I feel the same. Thats why I bought that same trim. But for someone with a family that needs the 3rd row the sr5 might be the best. that why I made the video. To help people see all the pros and cons of each model.

You have the wrong channel for that. I don't care for or have any interest in the tech stuff. The less the better and I always buy to least tech with the most capable package. I also stick to things I know. I know alot about trucks and suvs. I don't know crap about all the techy stuff they stuff in them. Example. I would never even buy a premium version in amy trim. Waste of money in my eyes and I don't like leather seats. So I did the best I can talking about what I know. The rest is out there somewhere on another channel thats into techy stuff.

agree 100! the new one coming out is a disposable version of what an amazing suv used to be! the current 4 runnner (24 and older) will have a cult following be worth more in a decade than it is now.
