Funny story. Back when I was high school and AI played for the Pistons, they were playing my dog shit Wolves at the time. So my buddy and I “snuck” down to the lower level and saw someone we knew with courtside seats. We casually walked over to them, and the Pistons came out to warm up. AI walked right past me, and he was the same exact height as me. I’m 6’ 2”. I was shocked. Always thought he was 5’11”
no hes lying. and colleges can be wrong. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_head#/media/File:AvgHeadSizes.png i thought he was 6'2 as well but after you check hes defeinitely not.
Possible that's his real height but college's lie like crazy when it comes to height and weight measurements. They are always making those numbers look better than they are.
Everybody says he’s capping about his height but that’s how it really is against real basketball players. I’m 6’4 myself and all the 6’7-6’10 dudes are definitely a lot taller than me. It’s really easy to forget how tall these pro basketball players really are because of how the camera makes everyone look 5’9-6’3.
But he’s capping. The last dude was one head taller than him. I’m about 6’2 and my top of the head touches the beginning of my fiends’ nose and he’s 6’8. You can clearly see that he’s 3 inches below the 6’8 guy’s nose. So he’s more like 5’11.
@@footballfan283 he’s not though, he’s listed in his d1 college program at 6’3. They measure with shoes on most likely so that would put him about 6’2. Your friend must be lying about his height then cus when I am next to a 6’8 guys height I’m just below the nose as well
@@ates423 then you are the one lying. Because I know what 15cm difference is, 6 inches is not an entire head taller. We have measure ourselves barefoot he’s 6’8 and I’m 6’2. And a friend of mine is 5’8 and his top of his head reaches the beginning of my nose, that’s what 6 inches really is. If someone is one head taller than you he’s 9 inches taller than you. I know a guy who’s 6’11 and I have taken a picture with him and I looked like this so called 6’2 guy next to the 6’11 guy. So basically either that guy is 6’2 and the last dude is not 6’8 but 6’11, or this guy is just 5’11 and the guy who’s 6’8 is really 6’8. And I don’t believe listing heights I have seen people add 3 inches in basketball teams
Yeah, it really throws you for a loop when you actually see them in person! My first NBA game was DET at PHOENIX in 2005. The first time I saw Steve Nash, I couldn’t believe how small he looked compared to most of his teammates. He seriously looked like a kid. And he’s freaking 6’3! Complete opposite experience when I saw LeBron in person. That dude is just downright massive. I’m generally considered to be a “bigger” guy; above average height, bulky, former Marine, gym rat. But if you stood me next to Bron, I’d look like Tyrion Lannister standing next to The Mountain. (What’s even crazier is that I saw the “slimmed down” 2018 Lakers Lebron, not the “listed at 250 but probably closer to 300 lbs” 2013 Heat Bron.)
Basketball players are dead last in academics among all NCAA sports. They’re the dumbest of them all. So if you’re smart and “short”, you gotta shot at free college and a decent education.
I was able to get the opportunity to play the D2 level at 5’10 it really just takes putting the work in. Now going pro, meh would need way more work but college is definitely doable for undersized guards
@@brettwolven6390look, Isiah Thomas is arguably in the top 10 or 15 of all time, Mugsy top 50. To be that good takes a level of talent and innate ability that very very few people have. When you are talking about attaining that level in sports, especially if you are undersized, hard work is meaningless without also being born with an incredible gift that a miniscule percentage of the population has. If you are under 6 feet, you've gotta understand that division 1 would be a huge and unlikely accomplishment, but that making the NBA is extremely unlikely no matter how hard you work.

Lmaoooo this why back in the day football coaches would say “I can find someone 6’2 playing center for a little high school anywhere. But a 6’2 kid that can jump out the gym playing receiver ? That kid can write his ticket anywhere” and I’m slowly seeing how true this is
