I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this. It taught me a lot and I felt like I was spending time with you. Any meal served in your home seems like a magical time!
This was very helpful, Vivian. I am proud to say I have almost all of the ingredients you showcased in my pantry and fridge already. I've learned so much from your channel. ❣
I've saved this video and took screenshots for reference the next time we go to the store. Complete Southerner here but love to experience different cultures food's and try to replicate the dishes at home with my family. It was a bit intimidating going in to the Asian markets at first but after a few more trip's, it got easier. We like to walk up and down the isles to get very excited to recognize ingredients. Or even just buy something we've never had before to end up enjoying it immensely.
Just came across this channel a few days ago it quickly became one of my favorites. I love learning about Asian cuisines while also learning the real names of the different foods. Keep up the great work love you!
Great video! There is so much to buy some products in this Asian Market to cook authentic Chinese foods. I know that the wok is a must-have cooking tool in Chinese cuisine.
Hello hello! I absolutely LOVED this! Please do more like it! Thank you so much for sharing and taking the time to explain everything. I enjoyed you giving the great details and history on the products. I truly felt like you were one of my closest friends and we were out Asian grocery shopping; so much fun! Also, your lunch looked yummy and that chef was so nice to let you sit in the kitchen and get a behind the scenes look into some of the things they do and make. Just an EXCELLENT video! The best I've seen so far here on YT and I've been watching Asian video's for YEARS! Thank you so much again, it's really appreciated. Love you, your recipes, cooking, and even your "Circus", lol! Keep up the great work! Cheers! 😘🤗👲🏼🍜🇨🇳⛩️🐲😁
I haven't been paying close attention for a while and I was staring at this video like "Wow there's an I-Fresh I go to that looks the same but she doesn't live in my city. I didn't know it was a chain". I checked and realized she now lives in Florida so she may actually live close to me now 🙂
I love going shopping with you & how you help us to learn the foods. I thought of you when we went to the new pan-Asian Mall in Eden Prairie Minnesota. Hope you are enjoying Florida
Your cookbook is one of my favorites!! We live in an area where almost everyone is from China (but we are not), and everything I make with your book for dinners reminds my friends of home!! I buy the exact ingredients you use at the massive Chinese grocery store by my house!
Very Cool shopping Trip, I’ve been going to and buying from my local Asia store for Years and I still learned a LOT! Thanks for the video Live Stream!😁👍
This was great! I have a really good asian (predominantly chinese) supermarket not far from me, but it's tricky to navigate between the brands and varieties sometimes. Unfortunately, due to Sweden's alcohol monopoly, cooking wine is next to impossible to find here, but it occasionally shows up on the shelves of the alcohol retailers. This video reminded me to check if it's store, so thank you for that as well!
Great video Vivian. I hope you told the cook that you are a celebrity, just in town because you're making a movie 😉 It's not a lie. You're making a movie for us 😂😂😂 Thanks for all the great tips. It's the one worldly possession my husband's great uncle left me when he passed away. His Chinese cookbook. He was ¼ Chinese. I'm the only one who was left any of his cooking stuff. Not even my husband was left anything. I really appreciate and love you ❤️
The difference between Asian grocery store vs American grocery store is the boxes on the floor and the whole aisle is dedicated to noodles and 10 thousand types of soy sauces lol 😂
Nishiki and Kokuho Rose are my favorite medium grain rice’s but what happened to the pink bag? Seems like all the large bags of Kokuho Rose are yellow now.
The yellow is normal Kokuho and the pink is the Rose. My local asian market usually sells both but recently I've only been able to find the Rose which is a bit more expensive I think.
Do you have a fool proof hunan chicken recipe? With sauces? I love it but my partner won't eat it without sauce. Do you have any recommendations for online or shipt Asian products? The closest Asian market is 3.5 hrs one way.
if you try to just drink the cooking wine it tastes very salty, sour and pungent, I doubt anyone can actually drink it, unless they're really really desperate to get drunk
