@@CircleOfAtonement thanks for your reply and I’m pleased to have found your video - ACIM certainly does seem to “find” us (at the right “time”) doesn’t it :). I’m reading ACIM Combined Volume 2nd Edition 1999. Since this contains I Text, II Workbook for Students and III Manual for Teachers do you feel that I should be OK with these, at least for the time being? I’ll also check out the community pages and other resources you offer - thanks for sharing :).

Hey Lynne6590, don’t know if you’ll ever read this, not quite sure how old this post is but I’m reading it today November 20, 2023. I’m writing to answer your questions because it doesn’t look like anyone has. I discovered the course in miracles 25 years ago at about the age of 35. Previous to that I had been searching since @ 12 years old for the meaning of our existance…Ram Dass was a big early help as were Carlos Castenedas’ books, Buddha’s 8 fold path, the Hindu story is very useful, Kalilh Gibron, Deepok, the German guy…Eckhart Tolle (who said of all the channeled works he was familiar with that ACIM was the most useful). Anyway I brought a ton of books on the subject of enlightenment or understanding and have slowly over 60 years figured a few things out, I think. Sin, defined as “missing the mark” which is what Japanese Archers hear if they miss the Bullseye with there arrows; Is not “real” because it is not possible in reality. When then Son of God asked himself about being away from his father the very power of his thoughts (equal to dad) made that experience “real” for him and he was suddenly alone in a world without LOVE, as God is love. However because the Son is unable to break the boundaries of reality, he could not really be separated from his father because all is one how would you separate anything… he did find himself however in an environment with only a fading fragment of where he had been before. He, the Son was experiencing his thought without even remembering that he had had that thought. This required that the Son dream a dream of seperateness, not aware that he was asleep and dreaming. The dreamworld was like reality but with the absence of the awareness of God and all that that means. And since God is love this dream world had to be a world without love in it or more correctly a world in which the sun was unaware of God. If you look around you will see that this world is a world in which in appears there is no love. Arising out of that world would be things like Sin, guilt, fear…. So to answer one of your questions no you cannot really injure anyone and you cannot really send however you can fall asleep and dream that you live in a world where that is possible until you wake up that is your reality even though it is not real. God cannot go against our freewill and so if we choose to sleep he will not wake us. Course in miracles is a course in how to wake up and remember who you really are and into doing awaken those of your brothers and sisters who are all part of the original Son, now appearing as seperated, individuals, to awaken with you and escape the nightmare that you “made”. Those that do not awaken and return to reality will experience the suffering inherent in a world without the awareness of love for what could be mini mini thousands of more years from their point of view. The course allows for a way to save them that imagined time in separation and suffering. Wake up if you want to you create your own reality and do you have free will. How is that? Somewhat complicated But I think it answers your questions 🤷🏻‍♂

Nov 20th 2023 and lm on lesson 90....sometimes l get it some days its blurry...l will keep going. I really would like to hear God. I'm not sure if it's real or wishful thinking. Hey Lynne, cool to see you replied to my reply. Yeah life is a bitch or at least it has been for me. I would not want to go through this again. Maybe I’m a slow learner or maybe I just had a ton of stuff to cover in a short period of time but damn that was tough. Looking back from where I am now I guess I’d say it was worth it. I don’t want to drone on like I did last time so let me just cut to this chase. Seems to me you got 2 types of people on this planet, those that are head centered and those are heart centered. I am definitely the former a total intellectual that doesn’t really or hasen’t really trusted the emotions. I think they are something you need to control… So I got as far as I could go with the mind. I was able to stop the internal conversation which I think is important and was mentally rather at peace but I still wasn’t where I wanted to be. So a couple months ago I happened to look up something in the course and It was talking about looking upon a forgiving world-forgiveness even though no one requires it except yourself is very important and a foundation of the course as you probably know. Wasn’t really quite sure how to do this. A month or so before that, in bed one night I realized that I had not completely opened my heart. I was holding back, Trying To love with my mind while keeping my heart protected. It was that night that I said screw it I want my heart open I want it thawed out. I want the sunshine in. I decided to see everyone as perfect. whatever they did or said I would not judge it. I would simply say you are as you were created to be and I’m not qualified or knowledgeable enough judge anyone, to myself of course. People I knew I would refuse to bring the past in to the moment making everyone fresh and clean and not judging at all. You know they say what you give you get, Jimi Hendrix Has lyrics in a song “ you give love you get love, it the only way “ Gotta tell you everything changed after that. As I offered unconditional love to everyone they began to change right in front of my eyes and because I was getting what I was giving I felt good, free kind of. Totally cool wouldn’t go back to my old ways😁 Anyway just wanted to share that Lynne. Peace out, Todd
