@@SindyJ37 Yes. There's always so many incredible shots in every video and her instincts to stop narration and just let the shot speak for itself paired with the perfect music in the background. So much talent.
Yes we have in Lidl German Supermarket and Spanish brand Mercadona both have the slicing machines . Really weird and awesome!! Thank God Sun is coming !!😁😁😁😅 Love the tones in background, super relaxing!!!
I can understand your pain in cold winds. I live in Manitoba Canada less than an hour from the US border and this morning at 8 a.m. it was -32C with a windchill of -45. We are hearty Canadians!
Yes, we have bread 🍞 slicing machines in our grocery stores where I live in Sweden. I can understand that you, Christoffer as well as Grim look forward to lighter times again but I love to see that blue color with the moon reflecting on the ocean waves, it's magic and very beautiful Cecila! Thank you for sharing this with us and please take care of yourself! Greetings to you both humans from me and pats to Grim, ( that sweet fluffy Lapphund )!
So absolutely beautiful. Makes me long to stand where you stand and enjoy the landscape. Thank you for making such breathtaking videos so that I can live vicariously through them. I doubt I will ever go there but I might if I was a lot younger. Looking forward to you next one!
I don't know if it's just me but I find idea that retail stores in Longyearbyen require you to take off your shoes welcoming and cozy. It's like when you come home and kick off your shoes to relax.
My father was working on Svalbard in the summer of 1965. He was a scientist on a famous expedition. Because of that I've always had a special relation to Svalbard. All the stories and old pictures. He later went their as a tourist but never after I was born. I have to visit some day.
I wish I could clean my house at your speeded-up speed! It's inspirational because you make it look so casual, rather than the big mental conflict it always is in my head: should I clean or should I make toast...? Thank you Cecilia, Christoffer, and Grim (and Svalbard) for another walk on the beautiful side - of the planet.
Love this content! I watch your videos after everyone goes to sleep at my house and just smile. I can live vicariously through them . Love you and Christoffer, GRIM, and your life there. Your home is beautiful. My dutch shepherd HOGAN curls up on the couch with me too and we watch together. I even started buying Hogan dentastix, and he LOVES them.
Thank you for taking advantage of your environment and posting your videos, they give me a certain feeling that no other videos on RU-vid can give me. They are peaceful and cozy at the same. time
I'd definitely say Cecilia and Jonna Jinton have calming northern videos in a class all their own. I stop what I'm doing and watch when either upload a video!
Lovely video, as always. But as a former burn nurse, I cringed when I saw you squirt flammable liquid in the dying fire. That's one of the most common ways patients end up in the burn unit. Flame can travel up the liquid stream and flash onto the hand and fabric faster than a person can react. Please, please, please work out a different way to get the fire stronger once it's lit. Please. I love you and your content and don't want to see you filming from a Norwegian burn unit.
I want to Thank you so much for sharing your life and journey . I have lung and brain cancer and I watch your videos every night and they help me forget my problems and enjoy your beautiful videos.
I watched today's video while my friend was here. She's not a TV watcher, she prefers to watch things on RU-vid. She had never heard of your channel. Well, let's just say you now have a new subscriber. She was in awe of the landscape and moonlight, and once she saw Grim - that did it - she was hooked. When you were outside with Grim, she asked "Is that a bird tweeting?" I said no, that's just Grim performing his bird impressions. 😁 🐦
You know you're doing something right when your videos don't change content all that much at all, and yet the editing, the shots and the music work together so seamlessly and pleasantly that the viewer always enjoys coming back to watch the next episode. 😊 good job 👍
Btw, I look forward to your videos and check everyday on my lunch hour to see if there's a new one! It's SO fascinating to see life in a far away place. (And that says something coming from a Canadian who is also accustomed to snow, wind and -27C weather!)
THAT GIFT SHOP HAS A WALRUS PLUSHIE!!! I need it for my walrus collection!! Hahaha! I have a stack of walruses by my computer, one on my bookshelf, and a couple in my bathroom. They're the cutest chunks, and I love them.
I always like going to the grocery and restaurants with y’all😊. Also, caffeine is your friend!! ❤️mine, too!!😄. Coffee and Coca-Cola is every day for me. It’s my vice of choice 🧡🧡. It is sleeting and snowing In Kentucky right now..so I’m home with my doggy Finley, drinking coffee and snuggling. Have a wonderful weekend Cecilia 🧡🧡
It amazes me that your grocery prices are comparable to our grocery prices here in Buffalo, New York. Still, this is the United States of Greed 🙄, so I shouldn't be surprised. Anyway, love to you and Christoffer and Grim! Stay safe and healthy and happy!
Would you be able to talk about the ocean in front of your home? I don’t remember many times you have walked on the beach or are you not allowed? What about creating a jetty/walkway to have your boat? What activities are you allowed to do in the bay? Or is it to close to the airport to allow free movement? You also mentioned about some sewage being piped there. Interested to know what happens with your ?grey Water. 😊
It’s crazy to me that Svalbard is so isolated and so well-serviced. Our Canadian North is terribly equipped and serviced. Yes, it’s much more vast…but..a gallon of orange juice is $35, and..the communities go without soooo much (like, no fresh fruit)
It is impressive what they have on their island. I think because they are able to have ships bring supplies in year-round, it gives them a big advantage over Canada's and Alaska's northern towns that are airplane dependent. I watched a video on grocery shopping in Barrow Alaska, and it was crazy the prices they pay compared to Longyearbyen.
Thanx so much for another BEAUTIFUL and informative video dear Cecilia! And btw, Mangos are CHEAPER in Longyearbyen than here in Greece! Sending you our love from Amarynthos, Mirella and Panos
Your subsciber numbers are really rising. Congratulations. Funny how I'm drawn to see life in Longyearbyen. Likely to appreciate the climate in my beautiful California. And funny that the ads before the video are of tropical vacations. Thank you Cecilia.
I am so lucky I went to Svalbard not once but twice.Loved the scenery and I did go in the summer.Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us so beautiful.Look after yourself and soon spring will arrive.
Even though I don't like cold weather at all... I absolutely love your videos. You home... and the town is so beautiful. I hope you continue to share with us. From USA
Speed Cleaning Cecilia is my fave Cecilia! 😂 I get lost in the moon, I swear. It's just so magical & powerful! Love your videos always, my dear. 💜💜 Marianna
Your videos are so warm and welcoming. It takes a special breed to live where you live. It’s obvious you both get the most out of the extraordinarily beautiful landscape that surrounds the two of you. A tremendous sense of calm flows through me as I watch your videos. Your home is so cozy and inviting. I’m always looking forward to the next one. Happy New Year!
Your home is so beautiful and I love the photo on the wall near your woodburning stove. Where I live our winters are long and very cold. Our summers are sooo humid and hot so we also experience very extreme changes of weather!Take care and cheers from Ontario Canada❄💙❄🤍❄☃️❄🤍❄💙❄P.S. I really enjoy watching your videos and Grim is soooooo cute!
Hi Cecilia, Christoffer and Super Dog Grim, Your log fire is superb, I have a modern build home and would love to fit one sometime...... fire pit idea for the garden will have to do for now...Straight to the clothes shop made me laugh....I'd be broke if you took me shopping 😂😂Your Video work gets better & better, the illuminated Moon was glorious...... Stay Safe as Always 🧡
I have seen a bread slicing machine only in Norway and I really liked it! I hope we would have it here in Finland someday 👍 It was nice to see what products can be found in the store. Oatly havremjölk smakar gott 😁
I watch you ALL the time! I'd love to live there! My husband and I drove to Alaska for three months to be with our son and grandchildren. I'm in love with the mountains! I hope you bought that polar bear blanket you held up...I was like "BUY IT! DO IT!". So so cute! Grim NEEDS it!
For those of us who live in a northern climate I can feel the cold off the water. Not sure that people from a warmer climate could even imagine how raw that cold must be!❤️🇨🇦
Just love your videos. Your cabin is looking amazing…just so cozy. You should do a some videos where you do stay in the local hotels for a night to show us what to expect if we ever visit…it’s on my list of amazing places to travel to! Take care 😊
Many years ago they had bread slicers at grocery stores here in Toronto, Canada. They also used to have (I think a few still do have) coffee bean grinders where you just scoop the beans you want grind them up in the machine. But I think there must be some cross-contamination of bean grinds as the machines aren't cleaned between grinds (that I recall).
Hey Cecilia we live in London and we don’t have these bread slicers but Paris where I’m from these machines are in most supermarkets. Looking forward to the Febuary Blue Svalbard vlogs… I know you do too 🤩🥳 Sabrina🇫🇷🇬🇧
Love your videos!!!🤗 And this one one of my favourites:))!!! Makes you want to move to Svalbard:) Thank you for this cozy and always positive content:) your vibe and Grim one ❤️
Always gorgeous. Yay for the beautiful blue light! Enjoy! I'm still envious you can air your bedding out in the clean, crisp arctic air. I love the idea of lagom except when it comes to natural beauty. There's NEVER enough of that. I collect polar bear stuff and would go crazy in that shop.
That's a beautiful view of the moon and the shimmering water! Thanks for sharing. I like that Polar Bear wrap. 😅 I'm not sure if we have bread slicing machines or have seen any. All the best from The Philippines.
