It's pretty much exactly a year ago since we made the life changing decision to retire early at the age of 51. During the last 12 months there has been lots of highs and lows, laughter and tears but we have never regretted our decision for one minute.
Join us as we look back on the past 12 months and reflect on how far we have come. We resigned from our jobs, sold our house and relocated to the Yorkshire Dales and have just moved into our dream renovation project. We think about the best bits, the things that we would have changed and look forward to the next steps that we need to take.

We are Richard and Jackie and we live in the UK. We have chosen to early retire from teaching during the summer of 2022 at the age of 51. Our plans for early requirement include relocating to the Yorkshire Dales, developing our forever home and travel the UK, Europe and eventually the world in our VW campervan Nelson.
You will soon realise that we are complete RU-vid beginners with all the challenges of creating and publishing videos ahead of us, not to mention uploading when on the road.
